‘Beer. Proof god loves us & wants us to happy’. Well guess god loves me! I was lucky enough to win lunch & drinks here & it was a great all-round experience. Staff were knowledgeable & attentive without being intrusive. The selection of beer is phenomenal, traditional Belgian, small craft & independent breweries. Choice of glass size is also a bonus as not everything needs to be in a pint or a half! Didn’t try the offered food/beer pairings but it’s something to look forward to. Will I come back. Yes. As often as I possibly can!

so many different beers great place to visit but if you are a individual who doesn't appreciate nice beers and wants quantity not quality then this isn't for you

Yesterday we had 2 expresso martinis and the sharing dessert platter (tort/profiteroles/cheesecake) which were absolutely gorgeous would definately recommend.

What can I say , lovely welcome , great Beers , some real special beers and also , a menu tailored to beers so you can enjoy a beer that goes with yu food !

Nothing better than staff that are friendly and passionate about the product they are giving you .

Proper impressed . Prices are varied... hand pulls are a decent price £3.60 - around £3.85 was my day , however expect to pay a premium for the top beer but hey .

Quality don't come cheap . I had a £6.75 Stout that was worth every penny !!!! And I'd do it again for the flavour ... something for everyone . Lovely place , chilled , great service , friendly , great beer . Spot on ���

What a lovely place! We received a very warm staff welcome and first class service over lunch today. Lots of beers to choose from as well as a wide selection of spirits and wine too. We opted for the fish and chips which was a tasty and generous sized portion I did my best but it beat me! Very attentive and friendly staff and beautiful decor, the beer bottle Chandeliers are amazing! Thanks we'll be back!

What a brilliant venue, I love the place, either for a spot of grub or a beer. The huge selection of beer makes for an interesting evening if you get carried away! Engaging staff and fantastic atmosphere what more could you ask for?

The pub quiz on Tuesdays is innovative and great fun. Always a great selection of beers. And the food is top notch. What’s not to love?

The pub based on its merits is lovely! Good beer lovely staff and good food! The staff are informative and friendly. The door staff are great too! I had an issue here recently and it seems to have been resolved very quickly as I’m assured! So it’s only fair that the review is changed, well done Head Of Steam😊

The customer service was brilliant (I think Luke served us) and it was so refreshing!

Couple of guys there on Thursday whilst it was a quieter atmosphere made my friend and I feel massively welcome, didn’t catch their names but they had the best customer service I’ve seen in such a long time. The food & bevs were brilliant, we couldn’t have asked for a better variety. I came back again this afternoon after the cheese fest with my Mum and she loved the place too! Hope to come back soon �

Absolutely love this place, the staff are very friendly and fantastic warm well come. Great choice of drinks & food also good choices for vegetarians. This is our 3rd visit & will keep on visiting you on regular basis.

Lovely place with an excellent selection of beers. My falafel and spinach burger was delicious - really good to see a choice for vegans! We will definitely be back.

I really liked the pub, very nice place with great atmosphere & very good selection of European beers. We were having a fantastic time as a big group but our time was ruined by the door staff. They totally let the pub down by being very aggressive & totally over the top with a young lad. There was absolutely no need for their actions & they escalated the situation instead of diffusing it. They were totally unprofessional especially as children were present, I will also be writing to the SIA as I do think they should be working on the doors with how unprofessional they were. As I say I loved the pub but this really did tarnish our experience.

Maybe my star rating could be deemed unfair because it really is a very pleasant place to drink. Fabulous decor and very nice bar staff however, my problem was the doormen who are employed to maintain a peaceful pleasant atmosphere and intercept any kind of trouble. The doormen who were working on 05/05/18 are a disgrace to their profession, I sat and watched one of them man handle a young lad and literally throw him out of the pub for no reason and then spent the remainder of my time there goading the young lad and his friend and trying to entice trouble. The young man has injured his knee and requires X-rays, all of this happened in front of young children and for that reason I will never grave the premises again

It’s a shame because it is a lovely environment that for me was spoilt by those who should try to enhance the experience and not get a bad reputation for those who work hard

Currently having a very disappointing meal at Head of Steam Leicester.

Beef Bourguinon was weak and watery with no sign of red wine in the sauce.

Two mains were served with massively undercooked new potatoes and we’ve been told there’s nothing the staff can do because the edible parts of the meal have been eaten.

Two mains were advertised as being served with crispy onions but no onions to be seen.

Side order arrived just as we finished eating the mains.

On the plus side, the starters were lovely. We should have quit while we were ahead.

I feel sorry for the waitress who’s having to act as an interface between unhappy customers and a kitchen that obviously doesn’t care tonight.

Management have been very willing to listen to us and we’re having a round of drinks on the house but we’d rather have had a decent meal

No concept of "customer service". Over-priced, over decorated "glorified Wetherspoons" thats all it is....and they do it badly. Trying so desperately to be "trendy" its painful. Plenty of other better places to go where customers are treated as such and not an inconvenience. All the 5* ratings are probably from staff & journalists.

Had the 3 sharing plate and beer pairing for lunch and really excellent. Unfortunately not everything we wanted we available but what we had was fantastic, very tasty and excellent value for money will definitely be back. Staff also fantastic. Can't fault.

I absolutely adored Head of steam from the moment I went in, the decor is fantastic and atmosphere is great.

The customer service was brilliant (I think Luke served us) and it was so refreshing!

The beer was amazing and the selection brilliant! I will continue to rave about this place and can’t wait to come back!

Couple of guys there on Thursday whilst it was a quieter atmosphere made my friend and I feel massively welcome, didn’t catch their names but they had the best customer service I’ve seen in such a long time. The food & bevs were brilliant, we couldn’t have asked for a better variety. I came back again this afternoon after the cheese fest with my Mum and she loved the place too! Hope to come back soon �

Lovely place with an excellent selection of beers. My falafel and spinach burger was delicious - really good to see a choice for vegans! We will definitely be back.

I really liked the pub, very nice place with great atmosphere & very good selection of European beers. We were having a fantastic time as a big group but our time was ruined by the door staff. They totally let the pub down by being very aggressive & totally over the top with a young lad. There was absolutely no need for their actions & they escalated the situation instead of diffusing it. They were totally unprofessional especially as children were present, I will also be writing to the SIA as I do think they should be working on the doors with how unprofessional they were. As I say I loved the pub but this really did tarnish our experience.

Maybe my star rating could be deemed unfair because it really is a very pleasant place to drink. Fabulous decor and very nice bar staff however, my problem was the doormen who are employed to maintain a peaceful pleasant atmosphere and intercept any kind of trouble. The doormen who were working on 05/05/18 are a disgrace to their profession, I sat and watched one of them man handle a young lad and literally throw him out of the pub for no reason and then spent the remainder of my time there goading the young lad and his friend and trying to entice trouble. The young man has injured his knee and requires X-rays, all of this happened in front of young children and for that reason I will never grave the premises again

It’s a shame because it is a lovely environment that for me was spoilt by those who should try to enhance the experience and not get a bad reputation for those who work hard

Currently having a very disappointing meal at Head of Steam Leicester.

Beef Bourguinon was weak and watery with no sign of red wine in the sauce.

Two mains were served with massively undercooked new potatoes and we’ve been told there’s nothing the staff can do because the edible parts of the meal have been eaten.

Two mains were advertised as being served with crispy onions but no onions to be seen.

Side order arrived just as we finished eating the mains.

On the plus side, the starters were lovely. We should have quit while we were ahead.

I feel sorry for the waitress who’s having to act as an interface between unhappy customers and a kitchen that obviously doesn’t care tonight.

Management have been very willing to listen to us and we’re having a round of drinks on the house but we’d rather have had a decent meal

No concept of "customer service". Over-priced, over decorated "glorified Wetherspoons" thats all it is....and they do it badly. Trying so desperately to be "trendy" its painful. Plenty of other better places to go where customers are treated as such and not an inconvenience. All the 5* ratings are probably from staff & journalists.

Staff were knowledgeable & attentive without being intrusive. The selection of beer is phenomenal, traditional Belgian, small craft & independent breweries. Choice of glass size is also a bonus as not everything needs to be in a pint or a half! Didn’t try the offered food/beer pairings but it’s something to look forward to. Will I come back. Yes. As often as I possibly can!

Proper impressed . Prices are varied... hand pulls are a decent price £3.60 - around £3.85 was my day , however expect to pay a premium for the top beer but hey .

Quality don't come cheap . I had a £6.75 Stout that was worth every penny !!!! And I'd do it again for the flavour ... something for everyone . Lovely place , chilled , great service , friendly , great beer . Spot on ���

What a lovely place! We received a very warm staff welcome and first class service over lunch today. Lots of beers to choose from as well as a wide selection of spirits and wine too. We opted for the fish and chips which was a tasty and generous sized portion I did my best but it beat me! Very attentive and friendly staff and beautiful decor, the beer bottle Chandeliers are amazing! Thanks we'll be back!

What a brilliant venue, I love the place, either for a spot of grub or a beer. The huge selection of beer makes for an interesting evening if you get carried away! Engaging staff and fantastic atmosphere what more could you ask for?

The pub quiz on Tuesdays is innovative and great fun. Always a great selection of beers. And the food is top notch. What’s not to love?
