WOW, what a busy weekend we've had, full of celebrations and joy!
I think we deserve a lie in tomorrow, don't you?!

This time next week the fantastic Lowther Castle and Gardens is hosting Lowther Show, the perfect event showcasing country life to the local community.

Another weekend of weddings at Heather Glen. We love making your special day perfect 💕

We visited yesterday for Sunday lunch there were 8 of us. What a beautiful place. Our meal was outstanding and the service and staff equally so. Thank you all so much for making our afternoon there memorable we will all be back soon. Excellent.

We had our wedding reception here on Saturday 17th September. Judith and Damien were amazing, everything we asked for was done - including setting the tables with personalised Lego minifigure favours! The food was outstanding and the venue is so beautiful and has a homely atmosphere with different areas for people to go to without feeling isolated from the party. Feedback from my guests include "best wedding we've been to" "best wedding breakfast we've ever had". My husband and I would highly recommend here as a wedding venue �����

We had our wedding reception here 14.10.17. It was FABULOUS!!!!! From the minute we 1st met Judith we knew we had to have it here,she was so professional and helpful it really put our minds at ease 😀 on the run up to the wedding the communication was great. The food is out of this world - the amount of people that commented on how good it was was astounding, no one had a bad world to say about it. The staff were brilliant (special thanks to Damien who dealt with everything promptly and helped make the day run smoothly) The grounds are gorgeous and the rooms are FAB. The beds are so comfy and a number of our guests who stayed overnight said it was the best nights sleep they have ever had! Breakfast the next day did not disappoint either. The great thing about this venue is that your not couped up in one room all day/night - if you didnt want to listen or dance to the music you could relax and talk in another room which we found the older guests really liked.

Whether your planning on getting married here or just going for Sunday lunch you will not regret it. We cannot wait to go back!!!!

We attended a wedding reception at the Heather Glen last weekend.

We were greeted with open arms by the owner Judith who immediately made us feel like we were home.

The fantastic team made sure every single person was well looked after, and the whole venue was so tastefully decorated.

The food was one of the best I have tasted, and the portions are enormous!

They allowed us to put our caravan on the car park, so when we had finished partying we were straight to bed!

If you are thinking of booking this venue for a wedding or event, or just going for Sunday dinner, you won’t be disappointed. �����

Thanks Judith and your incredible staff. We had a great stay all the way from Canada for our daughter's wedding. The rooms were very comfy and the wedding venue so beautiful and the food fantastic. Your sticky toffee pudding is the best ever! We will be back! Col and Joe.

Lovely fathers day lunch at Heather Glen. Beautiful hotel and fantastic food. They always go the extra mile and make each guest feel special - made a raspberry coulis and melted some chocolate specially for my toddler when she asked for ice cream with raspberry and chocolate sauce � And tracked us down to return a toy we had left. Highly recommend.

Can not thank you and your staff enough for our wedding day on Friday. Our day was perfect and everything looked amazing! Everyone had amazing comments regarding the amazing food and the staff were all so lovely! we noticed they were still cleaning up after 1am then back down for breakfast at 9am with 2 more weddings that weekend. Again we can not thank you enough for your perfect venue and can't wait to do it all again this time next year for my sisters wedding! Love the birketts! Xx

Brilliant place, can’t recommend it enough. We had our wedding here a few years ago, and try to visit for meals as often as we can. The team can’t do enough for you, all staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food has never disappointed, we are lucky to have such a great place on our doorstep.

Beautiful country house in a pretty location. The rooms are high end and spacious as are the ensuites. Food is wonderful as is the welcome and service from all the staff. Our 2nd visit here and we will be back.
