Second phase complete! Two more new blast freezers delivered today by Dawson’s Refrigeration. One replacing an existing blast that was starting to get a bit tired. First class electricians from Roger Halls in Grimsby we’re straight on the job putting in the power. Amazon Refrigeration also from Grimsby will commission them tomorrow. One final piece in the jigsaw will arrive in July. Exciting times !

The first of our three new blast freezers being delivered today by Dawson Temperature Control Solutions. Impressive work by the crane operator he didn’t have much margin for error. One down two to go.

Quality work by our electrical contractors Roger Halls of Grimsby. This panel won’t be seen by anyone but they’ve still got the spirit level on it! Attention to detail is everything.

First day of a £250k three week project that will result in our blast freezing capacity being doubled. In time for a new £3M contract with a high value UK customer to start at the beginning of May.

Happy to have signed up a contract with our valued supply partners Toyota Material Handling to bring a new fleet of Fork Lift, Reach and Pallet Trucks to Hemswell Coldstore Ltd in August. Proud to announce we’ve passed our BRC audit for the fourth year. Attained a AA Grade for the second year on the trot with one less minor non conformance than last year. Huge effort from everyone who works in the business! Well done 👏👏👏

Finally Hemswell Coldstore goes green! Coldstores are an important part of the logistics chain that keeps our nation and others from going hungry. Sadly however they use a huge amount of electricity in the process. My store alone uses the equivalent of 300 family homes of energy. At the weekend however we saw the culmination of a five year project costing near on £8M in conjunction with Temporis Power. Hemswell Biogas (Temporis) takes waste food and uses it to generate electricity by way of anaerobic digestion. Hemswell Coldstore is now drawing all its power from this renewable and most important green energy supplier as our commitment to the environment and its protection.

Passed our BRC Accreditation for the second time with flying colours. Well done to all my staff. Good work!

Finally converted our whole fleet over to Toyota with the delivery these trucks today. Great kit!
