It's been a privilege to watch Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva work on these pieces in the Boathouse for the last few months and now see them looking amazing next to Nottingham Lakeside Arts!

It's the last of our seasonal landscape painting days today. Why not come along and have a go? No experience necessary as there will be a resident artist on hand.

We love the wildlife spotted at Highfields in Jusep Moreno Photography's book!

It's always great to see other people's photos of Highfields Park and today we thought this drone shot from @nottsnomad was particularly special!

#WeWillRememberThem
100 years to the day RMS Leinster, a civilian ferry bound for Holyhead, was torpedoed and sunk by UB-123 with 77 crew and 694 passengers on board, including 500 service men and women. More than 500 people were lost, including 4 from Nottinghamshire.
Today has seen the re-dedication at Rock Cemetery for Charles Frederick Daft Senior and Junior who both lost their lives that day.

Wonderful park with a central lake a great circular path all the way round. Cross the stepping stones and watch the fountain cascading down the rocks or, at the other end of the lake, indulge in a choice of cakes and superb coffee. Something for everyone of all ages. Go boating or just enjoy feeding the ducks. One of my favourite places

Went with my daughter to the new crazy golf set up. Chose 9 holes rather than 18 for me and my 4 year old at a cost of £7. Enjoyed a fantastic walk around the Lake, taking in the sights including the water fountain and stone steps. Parking is free but spaces are limited. Tram stops out front. Hired a canoe on the lake and finished off with an ice cream and play in the park. We were there for 6 hours and I didn't hear "mummy I'm bored" once. Fabulous day!

We had a lovely time at Highfields yesterday, arrived on the tram and went for a picnic near the lake. The park was very busy but still plenty to play on. New mini golf was fab, will definitely do it again. After ice creams we went for a walk round the lake, girls loved being able to run around, climb trees and have a bit of freedom also loved running/jumping up and down the stepping stones at the far end of the lake and we got some brilliant photos! Footpaths were wheelchair accessible and its mostly flat apart from a small incline half way round lake. Will definitely return in the summer.

User

This is one of my favourite places, love taking the kids, and the kids love playing here having picnics, walking around the lake, going on the boats and then finishing with an ice cream.

User

Lovely walk dogs love it especially chasing through the woody bits looking for squirrels. Got some great pics of the stepping stones. Met some lovely likeminded people on way round. Ended the walk with a coffee at the lakeside pavillion - i can definately recommend lovely staff and great coffee - one of my favourite places.

User

I grew up there and my dad worked on the clock at the high fields it was always a great place so was the little pool in Brest in any one remember the black boy hotel in center of Nottingham

User

User

A beautiful place to walk around to see the changing seasons. NIce to walk with friends family or alone for contemplating and to look at nature & take a few pictures on your walk :-)

User

A beautiful afternoon walk around the lake with lots of wildlife to see. We caught the tram from the city centre which was prompt and stopped right outside the entrance to the park. Stopped in the cafe for tea and cake which was delicious. A wonderful afternoon out, we can't wait to return x

User

when to play adventure golf with my wife and son, brand new addition to Highfields, however a little bit on expensive side for two adults and one child eighteen pounds,is this run by the city council or is this a private venture ?

User

Really like Highfields, good playground and atmosphere. There was even a BBQ once, hope that's repeated again this summer! The only drawbacks I'd say is the constant queue for the ice cream van and also on my last visit, the cafe staff were unnecessarily abrupt when telling me that the cafe had closed. The hand gestures and constant shaking of his head really was not neccesary as the lady told me they had shut the tills. Either way, me and my daughter enjoy our visits here.

User

Paid a visit with our 3yr old twin Grandaughters yesterday & we had a lovely time. Great playground & sandpits, plenty of space to picnic, lovely walks, boating lake, new adventure golf. The only problem is the small car park, but would definitely visit again.

User

Love high fields, lovely walk round spotting ducks (and the odd rat!) climbing trees, playing on the stepping stones, admiring the beauitful waterfall, playing on the park and enjoying an ice cream. Lots of room for picnics and ball games the only thing that lets it down its how rubbish the parking is, just not enough space for such a lovely place.

User

I love Highfields Park and try to go every weekend. Before the de-silting would go and see the swan family and others every week. Devastated about the carillon saga and the fact everything appears to be at a stand still. Missing the walk around the entire lake across the stepping stones. Would love an update. Thank you.

User

Beautiful walk, most areas accessible with a pushchair or wheelchair. Good clean toilet facilities, plenty of car parks which are free of charge sat-sun. Great play area for kids, boating lake opens 1st April, lovely cafe and the ice cream man always seems to be there too! What more could you want?!

User

Was lovely but only things is they should have more toilets more variety in the cafe and more outdoor seating for the disabled and elderly plus maybe have 2 icecream vans as 33 in front of me was a bit excessive and a bigger carpark but me and my partner and kids love High fields lovely family day out xx

User

The place would or could be better as the water is very unclean and not looked after there is rubbish every were the hole place just needs a make over even the kids play park looks tired thought Nottingham was better that this

User

Needs way more parking!!!! Makes me not want to go as can never get parked.. and when I do it's miles away and costs money

Other than that.. it's a beautiful place to visit with my two year old

User
