Would give more stars if I could! Absolutely love this gym. Always been self conscious in previous gyms, but right from when you walk into reception and have issues with my card it’s never a problem! The gym itself is perfect for what I need, and going into the weights room has never been easier! The staff always say hi, and it’s honestly so welcoming. If I know I’ve had a good session I’ll always treat myself to a BEAUT caramel coffee cus why not. I’ve seen a few bad reviews which I honestly think is unfair, cannot fault the gym or the staff. 10 stars all round!

We visited here as we were staying close by after visiting Warwick castle. The pool area was lovely, nice shallow pools for the children and the splash pad was a lovely surprise (we don't have one at the pool at home)

The changing areas were clean and light with plenty of larger family changing rooms. All in all we had a lovely experience visiting your pool.

User

Really great swimming pool, classes are great especially enjoy circuits on Friday. The gym team are fab! Really enjoying the PT sessions Couldn't recommend enough.

User

Never had any problems with this place. Great staff, love the swimming as well as the gym. My kids love it. Staff are just exactly how staff should be here. Perfect! Kids love the play room and great rates of money as well.

Like being on Holiday. Great location in Argents Mead and relaxed park setting.Friendly and helpful reception staff, attentive support staff and amazing class instructors some working internationally.Always approachable and supportive especially for beginners just like the management team.Mustn't forget the splendid cafe.Full of happy people.

Have been taking my two children aged 3 and 6 for lessons at Hinckley leisure centre for the last few months. My eldest has required quite a lot of support to improve his confidence in the water, and the teaching and support offered to him by Guy has been outstanding. To start with my eldest wouldn't even put his face in the water, now he is learning how to do front crawl and swimming with his face in the water! My youngest has also received outstanding tuition from Hayley and is coming on in leaps and bounds! Keep it up Hinckley Leisure centre- its a fantastic facility and your swimming teachers are excellent too!

User

Had Isaac cover my body pump class tonight and he smashed it! Really enjoyed it and would go to his class again! He worked us all really hard and was enthusiastic!

User

Can’t recommend PT enough here, Jack really makes the most out of all the equipment at the Gym with lots of different functional exercises that push my limits every time! Look forward to it every week, with clear improvements in my fitness! Thanks Jack!

User

Just wanted to leave a positive experience I had at the gym the other day! 14 weeks pregnant, I'm usually fit and active, going to the gym and classes regularly. I'd put this on the back burner after becoming pregnant, quite scared about all the stuff you read on Google about how exercise can be harmful. I did go back though for the first time very nervous and was only really going to go on the bike machine for a slow pedal. Bryan, one of the gym team members, was very kind and heard me talking about my reservations and actually took me around the gym and showed/talked me through all the exercises I can still confidently and safely do. I am now really excited to get back into the gym and stay fit and healthy. Great customer service!!

I do think a pre-natal exercise class would be a great idea as I've had friends who have also been nervous, unsure of what they can/can't do during pregnancy!

I always find the leisure centre really clean and welcoming whenever I go!

User

When for the first time wirh my 3 yr old twins staff was really helpfull and the pool was lovely will defo be returning only downside is the soft play price is 2 expencive for me to jusify

Had to lower my rating 2day as after 2day finding out that term time timetable means hardly any time for normal/family swim time

User

Been using the soft play on average once a week since opening, my daughter loves it so would say the £5 is not bad value for us but i think it would be used by more if priced lower especially for families with more than 1 child! Iv also recently enquired if they offer gymnastics for 4yr olds and was told yes 'great' so i booked a trial afternoon session for the nxt wk. The session was only attended by 2 children inc mine, Dan the young instructor was good & engaged well with the 2 children. At the end of the session a member of reception or staff discussed with the other parent that the session would no longer be continuing due to low numbers & that despite advertising, numbers have not increased!! Strange as iv never seen any advertising around the centre or in the soft play, surely this would be a great place to start! I left my contact details with the instructor on a form provided for me to complete and was told someone would contact me to discuss signing up to the direct debit scheme and offer alternative days & times to attend. Its now over a week later still no one has contacted me to follow up!! Could this be why the numbers are so low and the sessions are poorly attended i wonder? Also iv just scrolled down and read another review re soft play with a reply from HLC saying they offer a loyalty card for soft play buy 4 get one free!! Never ever been offered or heard if this before. This is very poor customer service...

User

I really wish they would make sure the website was accurate. What is the point of it having a timetable online if it's totally wrong. For example, today it states that the gym is open til 6. Yet when I walked there today at about 3:40 the whole place is closed! Very frustrating.

User

Every time I go it is too busy with swimming lessons and normal swimmers. It is always filthy in the changing rooms and the floors are not cleaned enough. I am very cross that a shower has been out of use in there now since around October of last year. When is it going to be fixed? At least the clock has been fixed now.

User

went to use the gym this evening was told it shuts at 6pm, been amember a while no one told me hours had changed pretty poor shutting a gym at 6pm on a Saturday some people work weekends you know

User

When I arrive at the leisure centre at opening time - 6:30am, I expect it to atleast be open and not have to wait around for someone to come and open up. This has happened on a few occasions now and is messes up my morning routine before work.

User

Want to lose £80 cash for absolutely nothing? - then try to book swimming lessons for your 2 children with the Hinckley Leisure Centre. If you stump up £80 now to reserve their places they'll let you put your childrens name down for lessons starting 6th June 2018, BUT will not get any tuition till that date. Yup, thats right, £80 for essentially nothing! zilch, zero, nada. If this is how you run your business good luck! I'll not be bothering with you, thank you very much! P. S. HLC, ripping people off is sharp practice - people are not stupid.

User

Total rubbish - main pool closed for kids during the school holidays. One abrasive staff member on the desk turning people away in droves. Queue stretching out through the door. Hope they are proud of themselves. Key problem is Places for People, who have one aim - making money. So we all pay the price and Hinckley has no swimming facility open for kids this afternoon. I don’t remember the same thing ever happening when Everyone Active had the old leisure centre contract.

User

Took my children for 2 swimming lessons, turned out my older child was not as advanced as we had hoped so had to move him down a stage, when enquired about moving him down after his first lesson no mention was made about available spaces. When arrived for second lesson, double checked, and no spaces available! I was given an alternative time, 1.5hours prior to my arrival! Mentioned that I would have to cancel, was told that Gary would call me (still waiting!) when youngest child's lesson had finished went to reception to inquire about getting lessons closer together but was met with a vacant expression from staff with the comment 'has Gary not called you' (still waiting!!) no inclination from staff to try to resolve the issue, lack of training or genuine disinterest? Needless to say, I have cancelled my direct debit and will not return any time in the future, rang Ibstock and the reply and fast response I got told me I had made the right decision. I will not recommend this place to anyone, parking is atrocious, no point in them issuing parking passes as the car park is in no way adequate for the demand, staff uninterested or not trained, lack of knowledge in their product, blatant ignorance in calling customers when promised, very disappointing experience all round. Is this place run by Mr Brittas???

User

Ok when you can get in to the baby pool, but like a doctors surgery, you can never get in.

Was told at 10, that at 11, we should be able to gain access to the baby pool, as we did not want to go in the main pool as it is just too cold (for babies). When we got there at 10.45, we were then told that there was no room at 11 now, despite being told by a member of staff that there would, so now we have wasted 45 minutes in Hinckley waiting when we could have been going to another leisure centre.

So now that half a day is wasted and we aren’t able to go swimming. Thanks Hinckley Leisure Centre. Better communication at the desk would have been great.

HLC, ripping people off is sharp practice - people are not stupid.
