Matt welcomes you to Derbyshire, and in particular to Holestone Moor Barns self catering holiday cottages, in the Derbyshire Dales, just 5 minutes drive from the Peak District National Park, Matlock Bath and Matlock.
Holestone Moor Barns Holiday Cottages are luxurious conversions from two 200 year old stone farm buildings standing adjacent to our own house, the old farm house, Holestone Moor Farm. We strive to always keep our holiday cottages and surroundings updated, and so we are continually redecorating, replacing and upgrading, both inside and out, in an effort to provide a luxurious 'home from home'. Our standards are high and for several years now we have been graded at 5* Gold by Quality in Tourism, with 100% for cleanliness, thanks to our wonderful housekeepers. Judging by the comments in our visitors' books, and the number of guests who return, we must be doing something right!
We will be waiting to welcome you when you arrive – no key under the mat or a cold dark house! We live on site and you can benefit from our local knowledge to make the very best of your stay in Derbyshire. On your arrival you will receive a Welcome gift of freshly baked cake /s from our local Riber View Farm shop, eggs from our very own hens, tea, coffee, sugar and milk for that all important cup of tea before you unpack.

Wow is what comes to mind....what a fantastic location chicken's came to meet us. When I walked into the place it was overwhelming not only the place but the welcome from the hen party that I was a guest at. Everything is immaculate.
The bed was so comfortable very clean. Would definitely love to go back keep up the good work......x
What a perfect setting for our yarn retreat, plenty of space for a big group of us to sleep and craft! Lovely surroundings and excellent local pub recommendations given.
We had a fantastic stay for a family birthday last weekend. Everyone enjoyed themselves, from age 9 to 70+! Fantastic attention to detail and service. Having recently broken my ankle, the downstairs bedroom and wet room in The Barn was brilliant for me! Thank you!
We had a fabulous time staying in the stables (which I have to say was spotlessly clean and very well equipped) and we received a very warm welcome from Maxine and Matt. The games room is a fabulous bonus and the kids and us throughly enjoyed relaxing in there. I highly recommend a stay there you won't be disappointed. Thanks so much for having us.

Fantastic setting, beautiful barn and stable conversions and a great place for a group. Loved that each room had a theme. Chickens also enjoyed their extra treats and great that we could take some eggs home as well. Will definitely come again.
