We stayed 1night as part of a national holidays weekend. It was lovely, clean and staff were amazing. If I had to make any complaint it would be consider how many people are staying in the room when you put facilities in such as mugs, spoons, glasses, robes and towels
We booked for 3 and it was a lovely room but facilities were for 2. This was corrected when I spoke to reception immediately
Stayed here last night and have only good things to say. From the moment we walked through the day we were warmly welcomed. Ian was a friendly face at reception and when we mentioned the bedside lights weren’t working someone was sent straight down. Breakfast was a massive hit. So much variety from a wide range of cereals to a large spread of hot breakfast. The pastries were delicious and the range of hot and cold drinks were a hit. We had ate our fill and the staff quickly cleared away dirty dishes. The bedroom was really clean and the toiletries and soaps were of high standard. The chocolate was an added treat. The air conditioning was a bonus on a really hot night. We had it on all night so woke to a fresh cool room too. The room was very quiet so we all had a brilliant nights sleep. We slept in room 42 so must have been a back room. Would recommend this holiday inn to anyone

Had our wedding here, and the staff were nothing short of exceptional. Organised to perfection, delicious food, and a comfortable stay had by all. Would thoroughly recommend to everyone, especially those planning a special event like ourselves.
Great service ..fabulous menu and choice of food...excellent customer service...we stop here every year when going to Royal Ascot...never had a bad word to say about them..every year you never fail to please....thank you
Fantastic room, newly refurbished. Not been to a Holiday Inn or HIX for a while, pleasantly surprised. Great welcome at reception and the food was lovely.
We had a lovely stay here. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful at all times. However, the restaurant did not meet our expectations. At dinner we had to share a table with strangers and at breakfast we were shown to a table for 8 - we only needed a table for 2. The seating plans need more organisation. We would have awarded 5 stars otherwise.
Upon arrival was greeted warmly and check-in was easy. Directed to our family room. No faults with the room, very clean. Went to the restaurant for dinner and was told it was fully booked (no offer of booking this restaurant when I booked the hotel through another provider nor did the hotel contact me to ask if we wanted to eat!) So we ate in the bar area. Ordered two meals, four drinks (cokes and fruit shoots) and kids meals came free and it was £40. Being from the North I was extremely shocked at this but I am told this is a normal price for down south. Slept all night with no disturbances. Very quiet hotel. Woke up and went for breakfast. Greeted and shown where everything was. Good selection but food was lukewarm. Check out was very straightforward. Handed room key in and left. I'd book again
Stayed here last night. Beautiful rooms and very clean. Evening meal could of been a little better with there choice of food and breakfast was fabulous, But that to one side i would come back here again if our coach company who we travelled with picks this hotel again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. ��
Room was great my 4 and 3 year old loved it. Food was nice and breakfast had a lot to chose from. Comfortable place to stay after walking round lego land all day. Would recommend and defo go back.
Had an enjoyable stay at the Holiday Inn just can't understand why they put the TV in front of the mirror??? I like to sit at the desk/dressing table to do my hair and makeup, but no chance looking in the mirror unless I stood up.??

Stayed lastnight, went to restaurant for a meal only to be told "we don't have a restaurant". Could sit anywhere on low armchairs to eat a meal that requires a knife and fork. So went back to my room and ordered room service as I could sit at a higher surface more conducive to good digestion. Fancied gammon only to be told they didn't have any. Accepted that, but what hotel doesn't have a restaurant?
Room was average bed was comfortable plenty of towels nice big communal area good car park breakfast wasn't great continental breakfast very poor selection of drinks shame about the bar staff no experience and understaffed they tried to charge me for food I didn't eat when I check out
Room good. Saturday night (7th October 2017) dinner rubbish - food all frozen - nothing looked freshly cooked. Told 7pm for dinner, went to restaurant nothing put out till 7:30pm & then just beckoned by chef to go to get food. Breakfast on Sunday better with better choices.
Friendly staff, Clean rooms, dreadful restaurant.
Not pleased to get parking fine if £100 for going for drink there after cinema. The receptionist refused to look at till receipts to confirm we were there. Going to local press.
Wish it were possible to give less than 1 star. I want to make it clear that I am not complianing about the staff, or cleanliness of the room, but the rooms location in relation to building works that were happening above our heads before 8am on a Sunday morning. Which is highly unacceptable!��
Hotel guests come away to rest and relax and lie in a bit on a weekend. This is not possible in room 16 or 23. We were awoken by banging and crashing above our heads before the 8am this morning. Consequently I am exhausted and have already been in tears once this morning because of it.
If you are building you must make it clear to customers during both the booking process and the check in process to give us the option of booking elsewhere. THiS DID NOT HAPPEN. No refund offered either! My partners Mum was in 23 and experienced the same unacceptable noise level this morning.
People who stay in hotels during the week are likely people who get up early for work and would likely be unaffected by the noise. People who come on weekends are not unaffected and it is unfair to accept weekend bookings when this work is happening for the affected rooms without informing guests! Profits before customer satisfaction is obviously this hotel's ethos!
Do not pay extra for an executive room! They are no larger in size & all you get for your extra money is one dressing gown & one pair of slippers to share! One mars bar & one hot chocolate sachet. Only on the first day as well! When I challenged this at reception I was repeatedly told "you booked an executive room & this is what you got" 😫
Not a good choice of bar food either & food & drinks are expensive!
