Home Counties Sewing Machines, still providing excellent sales and service for both domestic and industrial sewing machines from our base in High Wycombe after more than 35 years. For domestic sales we are agents for Brother, Janome, and Bernina, and can offer good prices on both brand new and ex-display models. We also have a selection of second hand machines from various manufacturers available, which have been serviced in our workshop and come with a guarantee. All makes a...nd models of domestic machines serviced and repaired, from an ancient hand or treadle driven straight stitch machine, through overlockers to the latest in computer controlled embroidery machine etc. The only limitations concern availability of any spare parts required. We are always happy to provide an estimate if required so that it is your decision as to whether to go ahead or not. It is with regret that we have to announce that the Fabric and Sewing Centre will be closing after 35 years trading in High Wycombe. As you will be aware, many retailers are under pressure, particularly from the internet, and we are no exception. Unfortunately, this has meant that the shop has become less viable, so the decision to close became inevitable. Our associated business repairing and servicing sewing machines, both domestic and industrial, will however continue, and we will honour all guarantees and warranties. In the meantime, we are holding a stock clearance sale of fabric and haberdashery, so please come and find a bargain.

Our Sale is still on, but it ends on Saturday. So there's not long to advantage of these offers. In addition, we're offering 50% off all our remnants. Another good reason to visit the shop. See you soon we hope.

Did we ever mention that we do sewing machines? Yes we sell them, both new and second hand. But we also repair and service them. So if you've got a problem with your machine, not sewing too well, running a bit stiff, or something is going clunk, bring it in and we'll check it over for you. We work on any machine, from a hundred-year old hand or treadle powered machine, up to the most modern electronic and embroidery machines. And you can rest assured that your machine will be worked on by the best qualified staff around. We will give you an estimate and stick to it. We will also be honest with you if we think the cost is not worth it. We want you to be satisfied, so you come back again!

More new fabric arrived. Here are some of our cotton prints, with prices ranging from £5.50 to £12.00 per metre. And there are more! One of the ladies in the shop suggested I make myself some pyjamas from the pink mermaid fabric. Cheek! :)
