Would just like to sat a massive thank you hood park is lovely. My soon attends the swimming classes on a Saturday morning to be honest I was a bit like OMG 8 am for a swimming class people are you real I'm never gonna get him out of bed for that time.

How wrong was I, he adores it & is practically kicking the door in to get and have his class. The teachers / instructors are all smiles and seem to love what they do. My son as progressed so much in the space of 6 weeks it's unbelievable and he's telling everyone how much he likes it. I ringing compliment from someone who lives only for thomas the tank engine.

I would say the changing rooms are a little dated but always lovely and clean. Fab reception staff who always speak to the kids even at the ungodly hour of 8am. Most of all I like the small groups and different actives each week to keep kids intrested and keen well done to you and your staff credit to you establishment. 5 star ’┐Į does not do it justice xxxx

User

Perhaps love is a bit strong but i really enjoyed my Gym induction this afternoon. Thank you Bernie for the encouragement (and distraction). Hopefully i will stick at it this time round.

User

Lucy swimming instructor - My daughter Ella (3) hated swimming, water & being without me in the water. She cried each week for about 3 weeks....I was close to cancelling her lessons as I couldnŌĆÖt see her getting any better ? Lucy insisted we stuck with it & that she would get better. To our delight Ella now loves swimming !!!!! Lucy is very patient, calm natured & brilliant at what she does !!!!!

IŌĆÖd highly recommend her for new starters ’┐Į

Its lovely the receptionist was very helpful with my questions and queries I had

User

Had babyshower here on 3rd june. They could not do enough. Room was perfect, food was top notch, reasonable prices for drinks. Dawn was fab. Thank you

User

Came here on the 24th for the first time and found it to be a fantastic experience. Ample parking, reasonably priced family swim, clean, and friendly professional staff.

User

Ashby triathlon. Great event. Well organised and all the people involved are really helpful(volunteers are great). Just missing a finishers medal, but I do like the tee shirt.

User

our favourite place to go for a family swim. the smaller kids pool is fantastic, it's a great size and just the right depth and is always lovely and warm. love that we can used our boys activ8 points to swim too. we also used the outdoor pool yesterday which great in the sunshine. fantastic. wish the hermitage was as good as hood park.

User

Took my son here yesterday with my partner and mum, we all really enjoyed it, it was nice to enjoy the swim outdoors, the pool was cold when first got in (although I'm sure I'd read it was heated?) We then went inside for the last 20/30 mins of our duration where the pool was very warm, felt like having a bath! My son had fun with the floats provided by the pool (although some looking ready for the bin) all in all a good afternoon here

User

The lido has so much to offer. The poolside space is a great area for reading and enjoying the sun after a swim. The staff are friendly and helpful too. It's also good, when it's a public swim, to be able to alternate between the lido and regular pool. By the way, the regular pool is excellent, slightly too warm if you intend to have a full workout but perfect for a casual swimmer. I desperately want to give it 5 stars but 2 things stop me. A) the male changing rooms (I don't know about female) are shut for adults when a lot of children are about. Understandable but the alternatives are public showers (outside in the lido area or by the main indoor pool) which mean you cannot clean yourself properly after (or before) swimming. B) Many of the outside changing rooms do not function fully: either the bolts are painted so they cannot be shut or there is no hole for the bolt to go in. My suggestion would be to convert at least one of the outside changing rooms to a shower room for single person use and repair the door bolts etc. These 2 things won't stop me going to or enjoying the facilites but I think it's something for the managment to consider.

User

Have a brill time , maybe more floats and toys next time for the aqua family sessions , fab swimming pool and love the place

User

Brilliant how whenever you go into reception there is always 2-3 women sitting there talking but you call to see what time the public swimming is open and nobody answers and I pay a monthly direct debit for this!

User

As a place for a gig, I'm not sure, but we agree with how friendly the staff were on the night. We were at the Jersey boys on Saturday 25th March. Parking is great, easily accessable. Very difficult to obtain tickets for the event, the phone number given was an answer machine and we never got a reply, disapointing really, however we got tickets from another source. Entrance and exit were easily obtained. The evening was eventful, with a later start than advertised, the food and alcohol were particularly expensive. Dearer than pub prices. After the first break the event was not as good, finishing with a disco with all the lights in the hall turned on, this impacted on the atmosphere which was not then very good. We at this point left, with others.

User

Visited today for a swim with my son as the Hermitage wasn't open for public swim until 11.30am. Unfortunately we only swam for half an hour as the pool was freezing cold and it seemed very dull in the pool area. The changing rooms were disgusting. The floor was filthy and there was hardly any cubicles. However, the staff we spoke to were really pleasant and helpful.

User

Been here before for the outdoor pool and had an amazing time, travelled there on Sunday from Leicester after phoning the Customer service and told us to be there at 11 am as that is the opening time for the outdoor pool. Arrived there at 11.02 and told us they sold out the 100 tickets allocated so we can go to the indoor pool and we might be able to go to the outdoor one later. The indoor pool was warm and relaxed atmosphere even if the chlorine smell was very strong! So it's been a bit disappointing that they didn't give me the right information. So if you are looking to visit for the outdoor pool i reccomend to get there well before 11 am to start queuing. There is a session starting at 12.45 too. That was another downside. Asked about 12ish if we can upgrade the tickets and been told I can start queuing for the 12.45. I have to mention that all the time we've been there the outdoor pool didn't even looked that busy and also lots of people that got a ticket for the outdoor pool kept coming at the indoor pool to cool down so i think we should of been able to have a few spells in the sun too, after all we all paid the same entrance fee!

User

Really disappointed we planned to attend the midday session. Once we found a space to park, we waited in line for around 20mins to then be told their will be around a 2 hour wait, and we can buy tickets to come back in 3 hours time to the next slot instead. We wasnŌĆÖt informed over the phone yesterday that we would need to pre book or if this was a possibility that we could get turned away.

User

Really disappointed trying to book a birthday party for my son... took 3 days to get someone to answer the phone to be told the person who books parties is off till saturday (today is tuesday) and that there is no other member of staff that can handle my enquiry!
