Hucknall Leisure Centre is located in the centre of Hucknall with close access to junction 27 of the M1.

Hucknall Leisure Centre Description

The facilities available at this centre make access for disabled users much easier. The swimming pool offers a movable floor providing a stable and safe platform to assist entry to the pool. Activity couldn’t be easier to access – members can choose from group exercise classes including yoga, body pump and group cycling, a workout in the fitness suite or taking part in a team sport activity in the sports hall.

This centre is local to me and in walking distance from the tram line into nottingham a great relaxing place to sit and have a coffee after a workout .Its one of the friendliest places I work out at .Classes are all great and the instructors are the best ever they always motivate you and help you in any way and are very knowledgable .The premises are very clean and the gym is always sanitized and cleaned .All the machines are up to date and the weights room has everything you need to do a complete body workout and PT instructors are also there if needed to book with .A nice pool to swim in and squash courts and badminton in the hall and a great place to book a party .Lots of classes on for children and teenagers .

I have just joined after moving to the area and Carl has been amazing. I have had such great customer service from him, nothing was too much and he literally couldnt have been more helpful. Can't wait to get to my first class!

Had problems joining online and received a call from Carl who was very helpful and professional. He called me back later to confirm that all had gone through successfully and talked me to though the app !!

Very sad to learn that fight klub on a Thursday is moving from 8.15pm to 5.45pm resulting in no late class. How can the workers get to the class at the new time? There is only other one late class on a Monday now! The choices I have in an evening are getting less yet the monies you take remain the same. This doesn't seem right. I am currently reviewing my options and may consider leaving �

im not a member and most likely won't ever be one now. went in to query about swimming lessons for my daughter and got the most coldest unwelcoming reception from a girl on the front desk. she wasn't interested in being helpful at all and when I asked a question it was as if I was some piece of dog mess that she stepped in. you've definitely lost custom due to this member of staff. I will be going elsewhere. I suggest you get your staff trained into customer service

Wow.... I just called up with the intention of enrolling my daughter in swimming lessons. After being looped 3 times to the main greeting message, someone finally answered that clearly thought she was on the phone to one of her friends. No professionalism, courtesy or knowledge at all, said she didn't know the answers to my questions about the swimming lessons and prices, said she would see if "Charlotte" was in then said "Oh no, actually she's not, just remembered. You'll have to call back". Erm, I won't be thanks. What a shame.

Very disappointed that the only Body Attack class has been removed from the timetable. I will not be renewing my membership. Body Attack is a deal breaker for me as I need a gym that does it along with combat and pump.



I believe that it is very short sighted of your activity coordinator to remove the only attack class off the timetable as there is not another gym nearby that does it. I know I am not the only person who feels this way as me and 2 other ladies voiced our concerns at the Reception desk last Thursday.



I cannot justify renewing my membership after paying up front as a member for the past 2 years. I have sent numerous feedback cards during that time where no one has ever had the courtesy to respond so what's the point?



I will save my money and do it all at home using Les mills on demand!

So far I’ve been on hold for 11 minutes. Not good. Almost 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and they can’t answer the phone.

Popped in last week for a look around as we're looking for an inexpensive gym, but I didn't expect the dirty rundown looking building we stepped into! I've lived in Hucknall all my life so I know how old the place is, I just didn't expect it to look to dirty and run down. Needless to say we won't be joining, only positive thing about the visit were the friendly staff.

My daughter who can swim was told she couldn't go past the blue line into the deep end because she hadn't had swimming lessons and no prove she could swim 25 metres she doesn't like the deep end and I was in with her trying to get her use to it and was told it was health and safety rules....... How is she supposed to get used to the deep end if she can't go into it?

I've been going swimming here for over a year, really enjoy it but tonight I went without my card as my mum had it (who was already in the pool). I asked if I could go pool side to get my card and go swimming but I was refused. I'm really unhappy as I pay to come to your leisure centre and I'm not allowed to grab my card which was in the building!

I have now left this gym for two reasons. The staff on the front desk who are cold and rude. Second reason is for the late cancellation fee you get if you cancel a gym class, you can't cancel within 24 hours otherwise you end up with a fine. I don't feel like it's fair anything could pop up in that 24 hours and not be able to make it. At least you cancel it to make room for someone else. I think you should only get fined if you haven't cancelled and you don't show up. That makes more sense.

Hi I have booked a inflatable party for may 27th this year but I found out after paying tht the children will need to be assessed first for 15-20mins at the beginning of the party which means the kids only actually get 30mins play which wasn't told to me at the beginning wen I booked and paid I understand thy need assessing but why do it in the party time? Why not do it 10-15mins before the party time? I would prefer the assessment be done before the party time preferably or let the kids stay longer in the pool by 30mins

Guys on behalf of myself and everyone who attends Penny’s “Body Attack” on Thursday evenings... we are genuinely gutted and pretty annoyed that none of our emails/calls or comment cards have been taken seriously regarding taking the one and only BA class off your timetable �� Myself and a couple of other regulars of the class actually joined Everyone Active, because of the fact you’re the only gym in Mansfield/Sutton/Chesterfield etc who has this on. Still unsure as to why his is occurring. Terrible news :(

Well for 2 weeks on a row I turn up to do a yoga class that the instructor never bothered to turn up to!! Not even a phone call either to let me know that it's not on. What a waste of my time and even paid in advance! Hucknall leisure centre don't even want to deal with it due to instructor being self employed but this is not doing the reputation of the leisure centre any good and I will not be returning to any other classes here.

The water is freezing 90% of the time, the change rooms and toilets are just disgusting or broke for 2 months and they never tell you when a gala is on. Sadly this is my only local swimming pool.

Myself and my daughter have been members at Hucknall Leisure Centre for several years and I thought the staff were pretty professional and friendly until 7 weeks ago when one of the swimming instructors made my daughter cry at the Saturday swimming class she attends. Maddison had hurt her arm at jujitsu and wasn't using both arms on a float. The guy taking the class asked her why she wasn't using both arms, she told him it hurt and instead of saying ok or do you want to sit on the side, he called her a liar, said stop making excuses and get on with it! Maddison carried on a subsequently burst out crying in the changing room.



I've complained to every Manager, dept Manager, Swim Manager and even the the person who called me when I cancelled my gym membership because of it, and have we received an apology? No, we were told they were trying to get the guy in to apologise to Maddison! It's disgusting how no one gives a damn about my daughter and her feelings, they are unprofessional when it comes to handling complaints and I'm surprised they have any customers if they treat serious complaints as flippant as ours!
