We've been to the restaurant a number of times & it's been hit & Miss especially with the kids food coming out spicey.

Today we had an absolute lovely experience, not only was every dish we ordered lovely the staff & atmosphere was too.

We got a table within 5/10 mins of coming without booking.. even though they was very busy, the lovely lady (i think she runs the kitchen) was there so I did ask her if she could cook the children's dishes as it's always perfect when she makes it & she said she will go into the kitchen & makesure its all fine. Not only that half way through our meals she came over apologised for the bad experience we had with the children's food in the past & gave both the children hot cookie dough & ice cream on the house! Such a lovely lady & fantastic customer service! We will definitely be back.

This is the best place in Leicester I love eating here the staff and management are fantastic the food is amazing

One of the main things I miss about Leicester, this the city and salary to house price ratio. I always drop in when I'm passing. Chilli paneer is as hot a dish as my complexion can cope with. Aubergine stir fry and Mumbai dhosa, amazing.

Hubby and I had a delicious buffet meal (which I won on Indigo facebook). Tried several dishes never had before and all were piping hot and tasty. Poppadoms were lovely and crispy. We couldn't go to Indigo without ordering the chilli paneer as it's our favourite. The best chilli paneer ever, hot and garlicky and delicious. We don't get to go very often and this visit was for my birthday. Best birthday meal. The staff were friendly and when they knew it was my birthday didn't charge for the paneer which was very kind. Hope to visit again soon. Highly recommend.

Have been going for a few years, I'm not a vegetarian in any way shape or form, however this has to be in my top five restaurants, any excuse I can find if I'm in the Leicester area we are in there.

The food is outstanding, the service is always good, however this time the waiter, really didn't seem as if he wanted to be there, although the service was still very fast and good, just didn't seem as if he wanted to smile!!!!

Will I be back, most definitely.

Although I'd give it as many stars as possible still but being realistic theres a great choice of food. I've worked here and had everything on the menu still couldn't get enough of the cheese sup dosa���.

Food was piping hot, crispy mushrooms were excellent. Only gripe would be that the waiters / waitress did not appear to know the different dishes when asked about them, other than that, go and try Indigo, I would recommend

The whole experience started off well as we had not booked but we're seated within 15 minutes. A fork was missing on our table the waiter noticed it was on the floor, my horror when he picks it up and put it back on the table hence he only got 1.50 as a tip. The pizza was amazing, masala dosa was great sadly the mixed potatoes and panner was very very dry on the plus side it was a big portion but due to the dryness it was not finished. I would give it another chance.

The food is brilliant can't complain however lack of service is not so good... wrong food given at our table ontop of that food we placed for takeaway wasn't done therefore had to wait for it to be cooked after finishing our meal ontop of that waiters have to be told that other people are waiting to be served and they have been ignored every time calling for them or trying to get thier attention. Poor service overall.

Services ok very slow. Food not to standard only some items ok, some of food it was just too spicy.

We've been going to Indigo for years and love everything about it.

Food, service atmosphere and price is usually amazing!

We also use their takeaway service fairly often.

Tonight we were visiting family and decided to treat them to chilli paneer, which is a family favourite.

We were offered the option of mild or hot.



It's not an option that has always been offered and we assumed mild would be what we used to get as normal and hot would be just that

We ordered one of each and we opted for mild.



It was bland and tasteless and dry, really unpleasant

I can honestly say that it's the first time we have ever had cause to complain about their food!

So be warned

Ask for medium even though it isn't an option?

Waiting time too long, not well organised

Your service is absolutely terrible, the worst I have ever received...got our order wrong leaving one of us waiting for food, brought the wrong food out several times, dirty cutlery dirty tables and for the manager to say it is because they were busy on the night is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!!

Went on Mother’s Day with my family, was told to order starter and main together as they were very busy and it would take a lot longer otherwise when the food arrived we had one starter and one main which was wrong anyway between 4 people and the next few dishes arrived 25 minuets later which the waiter was going to serve people on the next table. To summarise my experience never again. I have been going there for a few years but this was the worst experience as every time we complained the waiter’s were sniggering at us �

Went in for a quick Sunday lunch today don't normally go to indigo but decided for something different but the service provided was really not expected from Indigo. We had to approach someone our self after waiting 20 mins to place an order. When placed an order not talled how long it will take waited half n hour for the food then we asked someone how long will it be they said they will check no one got back asked another member of staff then she said she will check no reply again so asked again what happen you didn't get back she said manager gone to look for you 2 mins. the 2 mins was 7-8 mins finally me and my friend decided we are not waiting anymore and we are leaving just had 2 drinks and as we got up manager asked us please don't leave it done it's here and just gave it to us as complimentary but not listening to the issue and correct the customer service with the staff just said sorry and gave discount but tha

t doesn't help staff were more friendly to a different colour skin than the Asians. Customer service really bad ...never going back again not being rude just being honest xxx

Terrible service! Table was squeezed into a corner, and waiter was taking food over our heads. Not sure what the hype is all about to be honest, the ones on belgrave road are far better. Food here is quite basic, no good flavours that stand out, chutney was overly watery so had no flavour. Paneer dishes were quite raw and tasted off! Sambar was sooo sweet, not authentic south indian...as advertised.

And paid double what you would pay at any belgrave road restaurant. So disappointed.

Service abysmal, food average (in fact some dishes were dry and tasteless) menu misleading in terms of allergens, staff have no concept of customer service (including the manager or senior personnel). Would never return. No idea how they rated so highly.. caters for the few and not the many.

Service absolutely shocking, I had never been to Indigo before and I definately will not be going again. I would never expect this from a restaurant that has been open for so long.



There is no consideration of the customer at all, one of my friends requires gluten free options and indigo couldn't have handled this worse and ruined the entire evening. Some of the things on the menu could have been made gluten free simply by frying in a different pan, why you couldn't do this was simply beyond me. There was no courtesy, no how is your food, no thank you please come again, no goodbye instead we got we close in 15 mins. How about dont take half an hour to bring our drinks out. Also dont forget one of our starters. Oh and clear our plates before bringing mains out. I have worked with customers myself before and I know what they require is most important as they are paying for a service. When we were told to leave we were actually waiting for the bill which was by the way ridiculous. Looking at the existing reviews dating back on fb looks like you haven't even tried to address any issues.
