icandance is a charity which offers dance and performance opportunities to children and young people, with varying disabilities, aged 4 to 25 years old.
... icandance is looking for a part time Finance Assistant to support the running of a charity based in North London.
The role:
One day per week, £10 - £12 ph dependent on experience (£20,000 - £24,500 pro rata). On a day to day basis the Finance Assistant reports to the Operations Manager and as when necessary to the Charity Treasurer.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accounting records including creation of sales invoices, entry of purchase invoices, reconciliation of bank movements and as directed by the Operations Manager Management of debtors including sending out invoices and following up with late payments. Assist with the monthly payroll processes. Preparation and management of annual budget as well as budgets for specific projects undertaken and ad-hoc questions in relation to these. Preparation and management of cash flow forecasts and cash flow monitoring. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and management accounts, as well as other financial reports as needed for trustee meetings. Liaise and coordinate with external bodies such as HMRC on any tax or Gift Aid matters, and external auditors on issues relating to the annual audit of the financial statements. Support various ad-hoc projects and the overall development of the finance function. Support and identify opportunities for cost savings. Ongoing review of financial controls for improvement. Person specification:
Essential
Strong computer literacy skills including manipulation of excel spreadsheets, creating professional reports on Microsoft word and using online accountancy packages i.e. Xero. Good accountancy knowledge including familiarity with double entry and the preparation of financial statements. Knowledge of UK payroll Minimum of two years prior experience in a similar role. Strong command of the English language. Good teamwork. Ability to work independently. Ability to be flexible and creative in thinking and approach to tasks. Desirable
Interest in working for an organisation which supports families living with disabilities.

BAME Dancer/Actor for immersive music festival, Zest Theatre
In a world of twee, happy-go-lucky music festivals, Lost Village is a unique and immersive experience. Taking place in an abandoned woodland in the heart of the Lincolnshire countryside, Lost Village immediately evokes feelings of intrigue and curiosity, a real-life choose-your-own-adventure with its ever evolving narrative.
... Casting for a female BAME dancer/actor to play Freddie at Lost Village Festival. Young, edgy and full of attitude, she finds herself dropped into the woods one day and spends the festival weekend trying to make friends with the other villagers and festival goers, and find out more about how she came to be there. She will also dance in large ensemble numbers and on stage with DJs. Must be a fantastic dancer and have experience of interactive/immersive work.
Must be over 21 due to interactive nature of the work. At present, we are only looking for BAME recommendations.
Dates: Monday 20th August – Sunday 26th August 2018
Fee: ITC/Equity Rates + Food, accommodation and travel
Auditions will be held on 25th June in London. Please do not apply if you are unavailable for the audition date.
