Iyengar Yoga Shala - High Wycombe Description
The Iyengar Yoga Shala opened in High Wycombe in September 2015 and is conveniently located in the High Street. It is run by Sheila Haswell, who has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 1974 and teaching in the High Wycombe area since 1980.
The Yoga Shala is a light, spacious studio with two rooms; one a teaching studio, the other a practice room with equipment storage and a changing area.

None of our regular classes are running this week but we have our MANTRA SADHANA AND FOUNDATIONAL THEORY course (with philosophy from Gitte Bechsgaard and yoga asana from Sheila Haswell) running from Friday 8th June until Sunday 10th June. Sheila is a fantastic teacher with so much knowledge and enthusiasm, her space is all you could ask for in an Iyengar yoga studio, extremely well equipped, well thought out and so friendly and welcoming. Sheila has been my teacher for years and I can't recommend her classes enough!
There is no better teaching than Sheila! I will always try to make her insights part of my practice.

Sheila is a wonderful teacher with an incredible breadth of knowledge combined with deep compassion and kindness. Wish I could give 100 stars!!
How good is the place? I'm travelling there from Hungary at least 4 times a year if not more. And I'm not the only one from overseas� Just saying, if you are nearby and interested in professional yoga classes in the Iyengar tradition, this is the place�

Although I've not been to this studio, I will do my utmost to drop in when I'm next in High Wycombe. Sheila is the most incredible teacher of Yoga and I would recommend her classes to anyone and everyone who utters the word 'yoga' within earshot!
