Well I didn't expect it to be as good as it was because I thought prawns tasted pretty... Well basic. But these.guys deliver not only outstanding food but portion sizes that leave you more than full!



I am definitely looking forward to going back especially since they start sushi soon!!!

Tried several different platters with different types of prawns. Great choice and nice to have a selection of sauces. Would recommend this place as something different to eat.

Ordered platter for 1 with rice, pinacolada and chocolate brownie. Food came fast, service was ok. Prawns were perfect. Juicy and tasty. Lemon butter souce was excellent. Looking foward for the next visit.

Loved the whole experience . The food was absolutely amazing . The size of the portions were huge . Value for money for sure. Maria, our waitress was the best . Service was great !!! Juicy tasty prawns ( jimmys killer prawns platter for 1) the chicken fillet was cooked to perfection nice and juicy. The starter dynamite was delicious. Everything was perfect. Generous portions. Great service. I'll be back soon.

Had a booking for 10 people, the table was all ready, and although we ordered the food at different times, they came at the same time. The food was delicious and plentiful, staff are extremely friendly, Maria is the best! :)

Brilliant food and very friendly service. Prawns were delicious and large. My beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef(s). I definitely recommend it and I will be back soon. Up there among the best Leicester has to offer.

As a saffar, you crave a taste of home where ever you are and Jimmy's didn't disappoint. From the floor manager, Maria, who gave us a proper saffar greeting to making us a special dish off the menu! I went to treat my mom and was treated in return. For was on point. Will definitely see you again!

After the long awaited wait I finally tried it out n oh my world the prawns where delicious. Had a platter for 4 thinking will take leftovers home n ended up eating all of them ������ Also the kids fish fingers where amazing ��� Had 6 kids with us n all of them loved them. The staff very friendly n welcoming. Definately recommend it n definately coming back again ��� thank u so much !!!

Went for lunch with friends food was brilliant but staff still need some support on floor. mains came out before we had all finished our starters.had to ask for more hand wipes. had to ask for sauses that should have come out with food...and no hot drinks available

We had ordered 3 steaks different textures but all came well done

We had the millionaires combo great presentation the cod had this sauce on it which was not very nice

The lobster was mixed with mushrooms and a cheese sauce not a lot off lobster can’t remember the menu giving details off the sauces

Had a great time yesterday. Food was lovely. New place so staff still getting to grips with things which is understandable and having Maria there to help made things flow a bit better. All in all worth the visit. Hopefully they open others closer to Cambridge...hint hint.

Went Saturday night. The food was great and portions sizes above average. Being South Afican we really looked forward to our visit. The service is awful.waiters barely speak and understand English and do not know the menu very well. I wanted lime and soda to drink, no clue. Then we akwd for a jug of iced tea, not available so settled for diet coke. Dessert proved a challenge. I just wanted ice cream and was told that only the items on the menu were available. My husband ordered trio of dessert. Guess what...it was ice cream. I just wanted a cappuchino but the machine was broken.

Ventilation is an issue as the smoke alarm kept buzzing. No air conditioning.



It is important that service and trained waiters are above average or food in order for success. The quality of the food will not carry the place forever.

I suggest training the staff before you loose customers.

The food however was amazing. Will give it a try again. Hopefully improved.

Okay food nothing special good price

I was so excited to try out Jimmys as I'd heard very good reviews about the Africa branch from family. Anyway went on Thursday evening, it was quite full but not that crazily busy as you'd see on a weekend so we expected top service.

When we ordered we specifically said starters first then main. First mistake was all the mains came together with the starter! By the time we ate had gone all cold. But starters were all delicious.�

We had to keep on asking for cutlery and plates all the time, asked for jug of water, it didn't come for ages and the waiter comes and ask 'Sorry what did you ask for again?!'

We were very disappointed with the main Seafood Platter. The crab was tasteless and powdery and there was no calamari in it as the menu said! We had to ask twice for the missing product and it came after we had finished everything!

Prawns were actually tasty (everything grilled tastes different) but there should have been some kind of lemon butter sauce drizzled on top so it's not too dry. Sauces were provided separately but adding before makes a difference..

After the disappointing food we thought maybe dessert would be better? Ordered a chocolate fondant and crepe. Shocked! Crepe was cold, dry and definitely from a supermarket. We thought it would be freshly made and soft! The fondant was not a fondant at all� its supposed to ooze out from the middle and melt but this was just a cake with a sauce on top.

Overall this was a disappointment from service to food (except starters, only!) It needs a lot of improvement especially for the price we're paying...

Had a booking, but the table wasn’t ready when we arrived ... ordered starters , one came 10 minutes before the other 4 peoples arrived .starters very nice all had different was all liked , but the mains came out before we had finished the starters . We asked for some bread but it never arrived , had to keep asked for jugs of water that didn’t arrive ... the king prawns were amazing. Just the service lacks at this place . There was no air conditioning so the restaurant was very hot and a bit uncomfortable... would go again and see if things improve it’s still in it’s early days as only been open a few weeks .

The crabs were tasteless and mushy. It seemed like some cheap stuff, Left a bad taste in your mouth.

Nice inside, modern and clean, lots of seating however everybody seated on top of each other. Having looked over the menu earlier online, was very excited about the food. We ordered 3 starters which arrived swiftly. However before we had even finished the starters the main dishes arrived, with huge plates and now two courses on the table, this left little room to sit comfortably and enjoy the meal. Obviously eating prawns is messy, lack of napkins and no lemon water bowl to cleanse fingers. The food doesn’t look anything like on the menu either- presentation of food very poor. Had to ask for the trio of sauces that is part of the main meals twice. Food very bland and not very exciting nor very special. Waiters spoke poor English, and there was a man, probably the boss, who stood at the back just staring at the customers, very off putting! Wouldn’t go back, wouldn’t recommend, nothing special! Hyped up and disappointed!

I went with my family today for my sister's birthday meal. 10 minutes after sitting down someone finally came to take our drinks order. After taking our order, it took them half an hour to bring just our starters but gave no cutlery. Half the mains came and see waiting 45 mins for them to bring the other half out, which by the way never came out. After my brother approached the waiters a few times to find out about the other half of our mains. The waiter becomes very rude and started kicking off with us. I will never go there again and neither would my family. The only reason I am even giving 2 stars is because of the female staff who tried to resolve the situation and spoke nicely

Two of us went on a Saturday afternoon during the England match. The restaurant was completely empty yet we still waited an hour for our food and didn't even receive our drinks. When we asked the waiter what was going on he said he'll go and check but instead went to serve his friends. After another 15 minutes we walked out hungry. Can only imagine how awful the service would be if the restaurant was busy!
