John Lewis is Great, friendly staff, always happy to help. Only criticism is_ in the cafe , you have lots of lovely cakes to choose from, ok that's great but when you have to figure out what cakes what from a list located on the side, ok you can eliminate the obvious but then it's guess work. I did mention this to a member of staff, there response was *well just ask, and that's what the list is for* she also said * o your not the first one to mention that* , so based on this I think for future reference it's something you should consider, especially at busy times, when there's not always enough staff to help.

Just had tea and scone. Took one saucer back because it looked and felt dirty. Took replacement saucer back because that also looked and felt dirty. Was told they are hygiene but need a special solution and most will be the same. I said that they shouldn't be. Third time lucky but unacceptable service.

I am just sitting In Your cafe with my two kids and hubby and glad to finally be seated !!!

Please help to answer my questions.

Why would you have a separate children's drinks area away from the main one ? Having to carry the trays from the main area to the kids area (do you not like kids that you feel they need to be separated kids should not be seen or heard !!!!!) but then to have to go to yet another area to collect straws just took the biscuit !!

Christmas as you very well know if a busier time and you've done well to have enough staff in the cafe. Did you train them up ?

Cream of tomato soup was the soup of the day today and just what the taste buds fancied. Very disappointed to find that when it arrived it had never been near any cream! Just plain old tomato purée soup. When we pointed this out to restaurant staff they said 'what do you want us to do?' Not what we expect from our beloved JL so either make cream of tomato soup or change your signage please to reflect exactly what you are serving #badservice #johnlewis #disappointed

Utterly disgusted. Bought a range cooker yesterday, received a call today stating they don't have any left and therefore we can't have it. Not a problem, provide me with a suitable alternative (there was one very similar on the shop floor to the one we ordered) shouldn't be a problem right? Wrong! That's not possible, unless we pay more for an alternative option! How is this treating customers fairly? The item in question I might add is still available for sale on your website. We came to John Lewis as you are known for good customer service, so far I have been left feeling ripped off and very disgruntled. How can you try to up sell to resolve an issue caused by yourselves?? To say I'm an unhappy customer is an understatement. And of course still waiting for management to call me back. Take my advice, avoid purchasing anything from this store!

Don’t park in the John Lewis car park!!!!! Had my car hit by another car earlier today whilst mine was parked. The staff who tried to help me said they have the car registration on CCTV but will not reveal it. Police won’t help either and my insurance company say I have to make a claim which I don’t want to as we have just been settled by them after an a no fault accident 5 months ago. Just tried to contact the car park and get no reply. Disgrace Highcross! I shall never park my car in what has turned out to be a very expensive parking experience!!!���

Awful customer service. Purchased a Samsung Galaxy edge S7. 5 months later it stopped working, told by JL I need to pay £136 for repairs,then £164 but on the next follow up phone call this increased to £224. The damage was apparently 'customer misuse' so not covered under warranty. Strange conclusion, given there are no other signs of impact damage on the phone. Purchase your electrical items elsewhere.
