Spotted a RHINO in London recently? Maybe you have stumbled across the Tusk Rhino Trail, a super creative way of highlighting the ongoing threat from poaching to the survival of rhinos in Africa. There are 21 rhinos to spot across central London, each one beautifully designed by a renowned artist - Gavin Turk, Ronnie Wood, Nancy Fouts, Axel Scheffler ..... All rhinos will go to auction in October with 100% of the sale proceeds going to support Tusk's conservation projects in Africa. Today I learned that the cool bubbles at COPPA CLUB Tower Bridge were designed by an Austrian - Theresa Obermoser who made London her home a few years ago. The bubbles are not brand new, they've actually been around since 2016. Themes (summer/winter) change every 6 months. In 2017 Theresa won the prestigious "Restaurant and Bar Design Award" and I am not surprised - what a stylish way to make use of the terrace all year round! Photos: Coppa website

Yes it might still seem a bit early in the year - it's still August after all ... but at Fortnum & Mason's we are already getting into the mood for CHRISTMAS! They have the most gorgeous wooden advent calendars for sale! Pretty pretty pretty (pricey) but just adorable. Some of them even play a tune when one of the little doors is opened. I am starting my list for Santa RIGHT NOW!

I visited Clarence House today. It is the official London residence of Their Royal Hignesses The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and very close to Buckingham Palace. There is a Garden Room overlooking a small but exquisite garden. Queen Mum used to love to bring her lunches and afternoon teas outside to a neat little spot surrounded by plants and underneath two giant plane trees. They are so tall it would take rain drops about 20 minutes to trickle down, plenty of time for the footmen to bring everything indoors before it got wet. Plant power!

London is SIZZLING! It's way too hot for me to spend my free time outdoors at the moment but who knows, maybe this kind of weather is what you adore and have been dreaming about all winter long .... Come and join other sun worshippers at Leicester Square's free outdoor cinema this weekend! From the LEGO movie to THE INCREDIBLES and TROLLS ... c/mocktail in hand everyone can brave the sunshine!

So guess what ... I ended up in a TX taxi today. It was marvellous! Loved the panoramic roof window. Feeling good to whiz through the city without polluting it.

ZERO EMISSIONS? We are getting there ... Only zero-emissions taxis are allowed to be introduced into the existing fleet of 23,000 London taxis. At the moment there are a bit more than 300 TXs' on the road - new taxis that were redesigned from the ground up. They can be plugged in (soooo good for the environment!) and are the first taxis that can drive purely on electric power. They provide space for six (not five!) passengers, on-board WI-FI and laptop/phone charging, ... eve...n a panoramic glass roof! WOWZOOOOOOMMMMMM.....!!! Let me know when you see your first one on the road ...

Awaiting my 17 pax at LHR May the next 5 days bring all the joys that travel brings.

11 week old Prince Louis of Cambridge will be baptised in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace later today. He is fifth in line to the throne after his grandfather (Prince Charles), his father (Prince William) and his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The ceremony starts at 4pm and it is believed the little prince will be dressed in the same frilly, cream gown used for his brother and sister and based on the gown used for Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter in 1841.
