Proud to work alongside Jeremy Corbyn to deliver the Labour government this country so badly needs.
This Government has failed to tackle rising violent crime. Police numbers are at the lowest levels in three decades, but the Home Office refuse to recognise that you can't have security on the cheap.
We need a public health approach to tackling violent crime that requires co-ordinated and funded public services, something that could not possibly be provided by a Government that continues to slash public funding.
The govt's decision to close RAF Scampton is hugely unpopular in Lincoln. I have been campaigning hard with residents to oppose it & over 5000 signed my petition to keep the RedArrows. Lincoln's RAF workers, who are vital to our economy & communities, must be protected.
I’m sad that colleagues have chosen to leave the Labour movement, but for me the goal remains a Labour government which will create a fairer society and put a real end to austerity.
As a constituency MP I’m proud to have a great team in my office; we make a difference to ordinary constituents lives every single day.
In Lincoln, much like right across the country, we have a large number of fantastic loyal CLP members who give up a lot of their personal time to the Labour mov...ement & contribute hugely to their local communities.

Conservative Cllr Patricia Bradwell attack’s me for telling the truth about the crisis we face locally with our Children’s Services. Interesting to note that not a single comment made supports what she says and they back up what I have quoted as reflecting what I see in my MP caseload.
If she actually reads my article properly too she’ll realise that I put the blame completely on Conservative government cuts. Nothing to do with the hard work and dedication of the staff and everything to do with the Conservative’s ideologically based austerity cuts (whilst they cut taxes for the very wealthy)
Lincolnshire County Council aren’t fooling anyone locally here and many local families are pretty disappointed with the service they are receiving.
This is appalling, our Firefighters deserve praise for their heroism at Grenfell. No, they did not fail.

With living standards falling and insecure work rising, the Tory government just don't get it: high employment rates mean nothing if jobs no longer provide a route to a secure and happy life.

Today I visited Nottingham to speak to local firefighters and East Midland’s FBU officials.
The problems are clear. Firefighters deserve better working conditions and the service needs more central government support. To address these issues we need a Labour government sooner rather than later ...
