Kashmir Orphans Relief Trust

Mr. Arman Shah Program Coordinator PRCS Gilgit Baltistan and Mr. Yasir Josh PRCS Program Coordinator Azad Kashmir visited Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) today. Both the persons took a visit of KEC and were amazed to see the state of the art facility for orphans in Akhtarabad Mirpur. They offered to support KORT on all possible grounds and pledged to promote awareness about its work. While KORT MUSKORTEERS, Ch Waseem Advocate, Sharjeel Naeem and Muhammad Usman were also present.

Dated: November 16th,2018 Chairman Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT), Ch Mohammed Akhtar met with Director General Federal Investigation Agency(FIA)Mr. Bashir Memon and Additional DG FIA Mr. Wajid Zia, today. Honourable Chairman shared about work of KORT and about its community welfare programs. Mr. Memon appreciated the work of KORT for welfare of orphans and underprivileged communities and promised his full support for KORT on all possible grounds.

15-11-18; Allama Pir Zakriya Noumani of Dhangrote Sharif, visited KORT today. Chairman KORT welcomed him at KORT educational Complex and gave him a brief visit. Pir sb appreciated the efforts of of Chairman KORT for his huge work towards community welfare. He further pledged to support the huge cause of supporting underprivileged and orphans at KORT. Chairman KORT thanked pir sb for his visit and appreciations.

A seminar on the name “Dental Education Evening” was organised by Dental Aid Network (DAN) in collaboration with KORT. Dentists from UK and Me Mirpur participated in the seminar. Various modern mechanisms and advancement in the field of Dentistry were discussed.

The Secretary Defense, Govt. of Pakistan Lt. General (R) Ikram Ul Haq, along with Major General Muhammad Imtiaz Khan (Additional Secretary Defense) visited Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) today. Chairman KORT welcomed them at KEC and gave them a brief visit of KORT. Honourable Secretary praised the efforts of Chairman and team KORT for their hard work and efforts to make KORT one of the successful institutions in world. Chairman KORT thanked the honourable guest for his visit and support for the KORT children.

The DAN team had a fantastically productive and busy day providing essential dental treatment to the Orphans of KORT. In total, 71 patients were seen and treated, with treatment varying from Prevention, Restorations and Extractions.

Views of Leepa Jhelum Valley Peoples after the Distribution of 5000 Blankets to Needy and LOC affectees . #Support #KORT www.kort.org.uk

KORT Winter Blankets Distribution 2018; Team of MUSKORTEERS under leadership of Manager KORT, Mr. Sajid Dilawar Khan, travelled Leepa Jehlum Valley of Azad Kashmir and distributed 5000 blankets to needy and LoC affected families of area. 3400 Blankets for 1700 families in upper Valley and 2600 blankets for 1300 families were distributed in Lower Leepa Valley. People from villages NoKot, Bajaldar, Leepa, Qaisar Kot, Ghee Kot, Hoola, Malik Pura, VDC Members, Talwari, Batliyaan, Saidpura, Ghaipura, Khewara, Kharajana, Ghasalah have come to join the Distribution and thanked efforts Chairman and team KORT to support underprivileged and needy. We are thankful to our donors who supported in this cause.

November 6th, 2018: KORT Annual Staff Meeting was held today at KEC Akhtarabad Mirpur. Chairman KORT addressed the meeting and announced a number of benefits and plans for welfare of KORT employees. KORT staff work progress and efforts for social and psychological welfare of Children of KORT was also discussed. Chairman KORT appreciated team effort and work of employees to make KORT one of the best institutions in world.

A caravan with 5000 blankets have been started today for Winter Blankets Distribution for Needy and LoC affectees in Leepa Jehlum Valley. Team KORT will be in Leepa valley on November 8th for 5000 blankets distribution in upper and lower parts of Leepa.

Mr. Abid Iqbal Khari President Positive Pakistan Society and Vice President Syed M. Anees along with their volunteers team visited Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust (KORT) and met with Chairman KORT. Chairman KORT briefed them about KORT work and its upcoming projects.
