Kcp Equestrian Description
We work together as a family producing horses for both Eventing and Showjumping.
Tricia who is the backbone of KCP Equestrian, has years of experience producing horses in the eventing sphere up to 4* level and currently has horses from 5 year olds to her top horse who is at advanced /3* level.
Claire really enjoys producing a lot of the younger horses and does a bit of everything with them she currently has two five year olds and a 4 year old.
Katie Showjumps and is part of the Step Up To Gold Programme 2017. She has horses ranging from ones jumping upto 1. 40 level with the aim of jumping Area Trials and her first World Ranking Class by the end of 2017 to just broken 4 year olds.
We also have a small breeding programme with two yearlings and a foal due any day.

Katie has had a fantastic week at Bicton with Orange really being Star of the show, jumping double clear in the 1.40 the first day, Clear in the first round of the Grand Prix the second and having an unlucky fence in the jump off and topped it off today Finishing 2nd Double Clear in a very fast Talent Seekers to Qualify for HOYS π§‘π«π Cookie was at her first show since Slavakia and fresh was an understatement she jumped double clear in the 1.30 on day one and then just had 4fts... in both the GP and Talent Seekers!

6 year old Vivienne du Carel was a superstar π yet again today. Another consistent Novice run at Gatcombe for 31, double clear and 10 time.
We are very kindly sponsored by Belvoir Equine a company we have used for many years. We use a range of their products on a daily basis from both supplements and veterinary products. We started using a supplement this season which we hadnβt used before and we feel it has made a huge difference. It is an Equiform supplement called Jump Off. Last year Chip at Blenheim really lacked energy for the final day of Showjumping after running the long xc the day before and had a very ...uncharacteristic 4 down. Jayne at Belvoir Equine suggested we tried Jump Off to give him the energy boost after XC ready for SJ and Chip has done two CCI3* this year having had Jump Off and jumped like a horse that hadnβt just run a long xc the day before, jumping 1 of only 2 clear rounds in the CCI3* at Millstreet. We have also given it to our jumpers when on the longer tour shows as again towards the end of the shows they slightly start to lack the energy they had at the start when they are super fresh and this just gives them that extra boost to aid the chance of a better performance. This is not a supplement we feed every day just when we feel the horse needs that boost. What a pair of superstars Tricia & Chip only went and jumped one of only 2 clear jumping rounds in the CCI*** in Millstreet just picking up 3 time pen! ππ¦ to finish 8th!! ππ We couldnβt be prouder of them as a team here at KCP...it shows never give up when you find that special horse and a partnership like these two have anything is possible...they are officially 4* Qualified!! ππ«

What day is it...?? Thursday...That can only mean one thing Horse & Hound day!...this week it was a special day to receive ours!!

What a day! We were all wondering whether we had lost the plot leaving home in the pouring rain at 6am this morning to go Eventing! However it was so worth it!! We got drenched but the going at Cholmondeley was amazing they couldnβt have done a better job and the horses loved it. Claire and Vivienne du Carel scored a 27.5 dressage and jumped a fab double clear with 4.4 time to finish 4th and Vivienne got her first proper BE points! Then to top that Tricia and π¦ CES Ballycar Chip WON the OI π₯πΎ adding just 2 Xc time penalties to their dressage of 28.6. Huge thank you to everyone who helps make it happen we couldnβt do it with out you!
