Kirkby Gallery is Knowsley's contemporary art gallery, hosting a range of high quality exhibitions by national and international artists, with spaces for emerging local artists. Prescot Museum tells the story of Knowsley's rich history, people and places.
Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum Description
Kirkby Gallery displays work by local, regional, national and international artists including work from the Hayward Gallery, Arts Council Collection, Liverpool John Moore's Special Collections, Knowsley’s Annual Open Exhibitions, schools, and community arts projects and much more. Knowsley council also works in partnership with other arts agencies to deliver exhibitions such as Liverpool Biennial and pan-Merseyside projects.

Prescot Museum reflects the historical significance of Prescot and the cultural identity of its community. The colourful displays of images and artefacts tell the story of Knowsley and its people – how they lived and where they worked. The museum’s collection focuses on local people, businesses and industries such as watchmaking, pottery manufacture, cable making and coal mining.
