To ensure the safety of our staff and clients, a limited number of vaccinations are being performed, prioritising those animals most in need or most at risk. If your pet is already registered with us and receives reminders, we will contact you as soon as soon as conditions allow. Your pet’s vaccination may have been postponed temporarily to minimise human travel and inter-personal contact, therefore reducing transmission of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within the human population. ...To ensure the ongoing safety of our staff, clients and patients, a limited number of vaccinations are being performed - prioritising those animals most in need or most at risk, whilst maintaining stringent biosecurity protocols. If your pet is already registered with us and receives reminders, we will contact you to arrange their vaccination. If you have a new puppy or kitten or have a specific query, our vets can give you advice regarding vaccinations and keeping your pet safe and happy. Please contact the practice to discuss the best course of action. Please note that if you are self-isolating, we are unable to carry out any vaccinations on your pet until the 14-day period has lapsed for all members of your household.

Pesky parasites such as fleas, ticks and worms can infest our pets from a very young age, causing a range of potential issues including itchiness, diarrhoea, weight loss and anaemia. A regular prevention regime can help to keep them at bay and keep our... beloved pets safe and healthy. http://ow.ly/4YrF50yu9er

!ANNOUNCEMENT!
Our team is here to provide an important veterinary service to our clients. Should you and your pet need us during the Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve prepared some helpful guidelines.
• Please contact us the day before your appointment on: Tel: 0151 546 4168. We will then contact you by telephone on the day of your appointment to ask you questions about self- isolation/any health concerns.... • If you need to visit us to collect food or repeat medications, please call us first. • It may be appropriate to arrange a telephone consult with one of our vets. Our telephone consultations are available by appointment. Payment is easy and can be arranged over the phone when booking your appointment. • You may be advised that your pet needs to be examined at the surgery following the telephone consultation. • If you are self-isolating, we will ask you to arrange for someone else to bring your pet to the surgery. The veterinary surgeon will be happy to speak to you by telephone before and after the consultation. • To protect you and our veterinary team, we ask that you also call us on arrival so that we can ask you some questions before entering. You may be asked to remain outside whilst your pet is examined and treated. • We’d be grateful if you keep to one person per pet when visiting our practice and help us by sanitising your hands on entry and when leaving.
*Please use the Hand Sanitiser provided on arrival and before leaving the building*
We take the well-being of our clients, their pets and our practice colleagues seriously and thank you for your co-operation and understanding at this time.
We will keep you updated.
Kind regards Your veterinary team at Kirkby Vets
