Visited for the first time in 27 years last week.. I've been living overseas and I loved it .. good atmosphere, fruit and veg still reasonably priced and very good quality. I look FWD to seeing the revamp but hope it keeps its old worlde style and charm.

Thank you to the gentleman on the stall selling watches near the statue who very kindly helped me up when I fell today.

One of the best markets in the world..it is so cosmopolitan and amazingly colourful with fruit and veg from around the world....It is the heart and soul of Leicester city..

Leicester market if fantastic all your fruit and veg and much more under one roof love visiting leicester market.

Leicester Market is fantastic and I love living within 'shopping' distance of it. Fruit bowl full after a visit this morning :)

If you are like me and love cooking then there is nowhere better to get fresh herbs and less common ingredients from around the world as well as British seasonal produce. Prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is also something to soak up when your there.

I have to say hope proud I am that we have such wonderful traders

If there is any new to the market I would most definitely recommend these stalls the price is Wright and well worth ever penny as it’s all ways clean and fresh every time ����

I love shopping in markets

I do love the market but this change from selling by weight to selling by volume has stopped me from buying anything fresh. I don't want five of anything, let alone peppers or 15 oranges. I live on my own as I'm sure many others do, so I just one one or two things and know that I'm getting a fair price for them.

Love Lunn's stall always fresh tasty produce and very friendly traders....I love the market for ALL its goods,

Bought great fruit and veg -fresh,clean ,very well priced

The outside market looks dated and in need of a revamp. The council recently demolished the market hall and replaced it with a new hall about 1/4 the size of the old hall. Not only are there now only about 6 stalls in the new hall, the doorways and isles have not been designed for customers. The doors are too narrow. The first two stalls ate too close to the main enterance, and no one bothered to measure the width of the isles between stalls as there isn't room to pass by with customers at the counters on either side.
