Today our CEO Sarah Moseley is attending the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Credit Unions, chaired by Bim Afolami MP, to celebrate the investment that Lloyds Banking Group continues to make in #creditunion growth and to recognise Lincolnshire Credit Union and our peers as recipients in the last round of the scheme. The event is addressed by Economic Secretary to the Treasury, John Glen MP, and Minister for Pensions and Financial Inclusion, Guy Opperman MP.
Our CEO Sarah Mos...eley says ‘last autumn we were delighted to be awarded £75,000 by the Credit Union Foundation’s Lloyds Banking Group Credit Union Development Fund. This is a scheme that has run for 5 years, investing £1 million per year in strengthening the financial position of ambitious and growing credit unions across the UK in order to support us to extend our services to the millions of households across the country that are in need of our support. Figures from the The Money Advice Service demonstrate the scale of this problem with 16 million people having less than £300 in savings and 8 million in serious debt.‘
