We were a group of ten and there was already a group of ten there. We wondered how long it would take - Amazingly the service was swift by charming staff. The food was amazing and arrived after a short wait and staff remained attentive throughout.

We visited this morning as a family of 4 for breakfast after my husband ran Rutland water parkrun on the way home from our holiday. Really impressed with the friendly staff who made us feel very welcome & chatted with my children, very tasty breakfast and beautiful restaurant & views over Rutland water. Such a shame you are so far away from us (2 hour drive!) as we both said would love to come back for dinner. If we are ever in the vicinity again we will do just that. Thank you �

We stopped off here after a lovely walk around Rutland Water. Good value food that tasted really good ! Definitely pop back in next time we are at Rutland.

We held our wedding reception at L'oliveto yesterday and couldn't have wished for more! The food was amazing, and our guests were thrilled with the quality. The staff are brilliant, with nothing being too much trouble. So friendly and accommodating, we'll be going back over and over again!

We had a wonderful anniversary meal here, staff are helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic. The tiramisu was as good as any we have tasted on the streets of Italy. And although raining today the restaurant has a lovely view over looking the Rutland waters. Highly recommended and will be returning soon. Mr & Mrs Brown

This was our second time eating here and as good as ever. An excellent menu especially the specials, lovely wine and lovely staff in a fantastic setting. We look forward to next time .

This Italian is not far from where we live , we have been quite a few times and have never been disappointed, food is always great , view is beautiful

The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and very helpful and the setting is delightful. Highly recommended. I will definitely be going back.

Superb when it opened and still is superb now If not better! Fantastic food, and Benny and the guys are very welcoming.

Such authentic Italian food!!! Really great location on Rutland Water with lovely views, friendly staff, and good portion sizes!

My husband and I stopped for something to eat and decided to share a pizza, we didn't look at a menu we just said make one up and up got a lovely home made pizza, washed down with a pint of Peroni and we were well relaxed �� so, food really good, staff attentive and polite, will go back next time we are up that way.

Excellent calzone!!!! Will go again! Good staff, nice surroundings... the best place to relax!

Lovely setting, service was very slow. The starter was lovely but main not as good. Could not believe when they took our starters away they took the dirty cutlery off out plate & placed on the table for our mains!! Will not be going back :-(

This used to be our family's favourite restaurant but yesterday when we went there for our dinner the staff service was poor it is always poor service but we don't mind as the food was great the view was amazing until yesterday the steak was awful, fatty and hard. Very disappointed!! We dont mind to pay a pricey meal as long as it's good. We believed that you always get what you paid for but it was a horrible steak and ordered a supposed to be macaroni cheese for my daughter's meal and they served a cooked plain penne pasta without anything then came back with Parmesan cheese then the waiter asked if he could put that on top of penne pasta, really? Is that how you made macaroni cheese now? It is so unbelievable and I can not believed this is the worst restaurant for us now and I don't think we will come back again. It's ashame!

The food was great but the head waiter was rude...obnoxious.....unorganised....walke d past all the dirty tables whilst families waited to be seated. Told us he would come take our order in 10 minutes whilst he had his note book in his hand to take an order. Took one and a half hours for some pasta to arrive. Table next to us sat for 2 hours for a salad of all things.

I have never sat in a restaurant surrounded by dirty plates whilst the head waiter walked past them stands and stares at the plates then walked off......really never seen anyone this bad before. It ruined our day as it took so long.

We moved to the village a few weeks ago but won't go back.

Possibly the rudest staff I've ever encountered. Having 20 covers with 3 waiting staff is not hard. One hour for drinks, cold steak that was then microwaved, food that just didn't turn up. I'd be ashamed to have cooked that slop.

Never seen worse customer service! Ordered food and drinks at the same time. The food came out before the drinks 2x teas, lager and coke. When the teas came out the waiter blew some dirt out of the cup and then gave it to us to use �. Then sugar and milk came out on same tray as Parmesan that had not been offered to us even though we had a risotto and spaghetti bolognese� then to have to take the bill to the bar and be told he doesn't have any change in the till so I needed to find some change from somewhere.� will 100% never be returning again would much rather go to the little cafe in the car park.
