Long Eaton Victoria Angling Society Description

LEVAS controls waters on the River Soar (Kegworth & Radcliffe) offering superb fishing for all species, including carp, barbel and pike well into 'double figures'. Also excellent for roach, bream and chub, plus large zander have been caught.

Also had waters on the River Trent (at Long Eaton and Colwick) offering superb barbel fishing, and also producing chub, roach, bream, tench, carp, pike etc. .

Erewash canal (from Derby Road Lock to Trent Lock, 120 pegs) has been recently stocked with bream, tench, perch, roach and rudd.

Grange Pond has 30 pegs and may be fished by all members for excellent stocks of carp, tench, bream, roach, perch and pike, and Fletchers Pond is available to serious carp anglers on extra payment for restricted number of permits (50 only per year).

A series of competitions are held annually on a variety of waters. These are open to current members - who must book their place for each match with the Match Secretary.
