Well today seems like a pretty good day to announce that a certain Olympic and now European Champion will be joining us again on 20 and 21 October 2018 at Loughborough for another set of Masterclass events. The booking website will go live in a few weeks...I just have something to do in Berlin first 😉

Just three weeks to go until we welcome this living legend to town alongside his coach Harro.
We have 1 place left for the u17/u15 day on Sunday 3rd December and half a dozen places available for the Saturday Senior/U20 day. So book now to avoid disappointment.

Hi All
As promised, we are delighted to be able to announce that the guests for the first Master Class weekend in Loughborough to be held on 2nd and 3rd December 2017 will be none other than the Men's Olympic Champion Thomas Röhler and his coach Harro Schwuchow. Thomas and Harro will be flying over to join us for a festive weekend from Jena, Germany.
Over the last 3 winters we have worked hard to establish a culture for the event in the UK which provides a platform from whic...h we can grow. We are committed to providing the best information for young athletes and their coaches, but we also want to inspire a generation of young throwers by giving them access to their idols. If we are to create our own 'idols' in the future once again, then we need to ensure that we continue to learn from the best. We sincerely hope that those that choose to attend the weekend in Loughborough will learn from Thomas and Harro and be inspired to go on and be the best that they can be in the same way that many who have attended these weekends in the last 3 years have done.
The booking system will launch next week sometime and the format this year will be slightly different (based on feedback that we have received).
Saturday will be for athletes who will be either U20 or Senior in 2018 and Sunday will be for athletes who are U15 or U17 in 2018. There will be a MAXIMUM of 50 places available each day which will be offered on a first come first served basis. As always, lunch will be provided on the day, along with the Master Class itself and facility access/ insurance. The weekends provide a great learning & networking opportunity for all, so please put this in your diary and look out for the launch of the booking system next week.
We are not setting a minimum standard for the weekends, but we are now restricting this for age. (U15 and above). We do run Javelin Workshops which are principally aimed at U13 athletes and their coaches/ parents. More information about these will be released soon.
In the meantime, if you have any further questions, then please do not hesitate to get in contact with us via the Facebook page. Please like us, share this post and spread the word that one of the very best in the business is coming to our shores to share his journey!
Thanks

Hi All
The first post in a while, but we wanted to get in contact to ask you to put some winter dates in your diary.
We believe British Javelin Throwing is developing and part of that can be attributable to the development initiatives that are taking place nationwide. This is due in no small part to the fantastic work that is being done by coaches the length and breadth of the UK, the parents that are supporting their sons and daughters as the pursue their young careers, as ...well as the officials who buy into the culture that we are trying to promote. These along with many other factors will continue to allow us to plough the furrow that will allow us to be proud of our event in the UK for years to come.
It takes time to develop a culture, or indeed to influence one that requires change and we believe we are creating the right environments for young athletes to learn and flourish, they will take so much away which they can implement with their coaches in their home environments.
We are proud of the small role that we have played in the development of the event in recent years and we will continue to support the development further this winter. Along with the #UKJavelinCarnival, which is without doubt the best single event competition in the UK now, we will continue to bring the best guests available to Loughborough for our Javelin camps.
Therefore, we are pleased to annouce that the dates for the Javelin Master Class Camps are as follows:
Sat/ Sun 2nd & 3rd December 2017 Sat/ Sun 3rd & 4th February 2018
More details will be made available in due course, but please note we will be restricting numbers this year due to facility restrictions and also to maintain the quality of what is delieved. This will have a minor impact on costings, but given the guests we have lined up, it will be well worth the trip!
Please put these dates in your diary and we will publish the booking system link at the end of the competitive athletics season in September
Many thanks
David
