Say hello and thank you to these guys when you're out wandering around The Estate. It's their grazing that maintains the grasslands, which in turn is alive with insects and many small rodents. The rodents in turn feed the barn owls that bred again this year and other birds of prey such as kestrels that you may see hovering while they hunt the fields. So thanks to the moo cows. This is one more side to the thing that is Life at Lower Mill - be that a stunningly designed proper...ty, pamper time in The Spa, immersing yourself in Nature, running, cycling, canoeing, swimming, relaxing with family or like minded neighbours or perhaps just finding a quiet spot by a lake and enjoying a good book all alone. Regular visitors and homeowners too may know of this place already but at the far end of Somerford Keynes, just beyond the Bakers Arms is the Elemental (though it has just been renamed Cotswold but things move slowly here so we'll stick with the original for now) Sculpture Park, an interesting place and well worth a visit. What's more, if you call in at the Habitat Escapes Barn or The Activity Hub and collect a donation slip to h...and in at the entrance, The Park will donate £1 of your entrance fee to Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue who are always inundated with poorly wildlife and struggling for funds. We have just had another fab New Year on the estate we have been coming for a number of years and us, the kids and the dog love it! The outside pool is a firm favourite with the kids and the lovely walks and views are what keeps us coming back, Thank you Lower Mill Estate

This place is simply amazing! Fabulous lodge and beautiful surroundings. We'll absolutely be back, can't wait.

This place is amazing. We have just spent christmas here staying at Howells mere. I also had a treatment at the spa which is lovely as it was being renovated when we stayed here in June and apartments were being used. I can't wait to go back

Our third stay - this time for a whole week. Howell's mere was perfect and the lodge was divine. Love this place so much �

Lovely place stopped in house Martin island beautiful building well equipped and very spacious for 6 adults. Ate out at falcons inn 5* for both defo go again.

Just stayed 3 nights in a beautiful house on the lake here with a hottub. Absolutely stunning! Can't wait to come back for Christmas!

Just love everything about Lower Mill. Families at one with nature and for us special times with our grandchildren. Plenty to do for every one. A magical place whatever the season.

Its just so lovely here. Even if its raining the view is pretty and changing like a constant piece of art. xx

Have stayed twice in 2017. 5 weeks at Howells Mere. And a weekend at Clearwater. Lovely location. Howells Mere definitely higher end than Clearwater. Ballyhoo cafe dreadful. Overpriced and was asked to leave as apparently I was taking up to much of hero bandwidth on my laptop and they couldn't play their music. Was stunned. This is the only let down.

Have just come home from a weekend here and it was amazing. Gorgeous estate, the houses are amazing.

We were very lucky as we had amazing sunny weather so we didn't leave the estate just enjoyed the surroundings. Will definitely be back!

Had a fantastic weekend there with family. We had a 4 bedroom house which had plenty of space and very well equipped. We spent time on the water and in the spa: both were great. We ate at the site restaurant one evening: everyone enjoyed their food and had a barbeque at the house as everything was provided for us. Would definitely go back

Beautiful property spinney lake 8, immaculate and the wood burner got plenty of use this weekend. Would definitely recommend it, even on a snowed in weekend

A great place for s short break with friends or a family holiday. The Spa facilities are first class and even on a busy weekend the adult only sessions give those without families the opportunity to enjoy them with a more peaceful atmosphere. Will definitely go back again.

A beautiful safe place to relax with the

family,loved our balcony over one of the lakes, grandchildren were so

excited by the big fish swimming around underneath. Boating on the

lake , swimming in the pool, riding on

their bikes, playing tennis, cafe for coffee and icecreams , and beauty

therapy's for me. We all enjoyed

walks around the estate, with many

photo's taken,and many happy

memories to look back on as the

children have grown.

We had an amazing weekend away here recently and thoroughly loved the surroundings and idea behind this holiday place. The house we stayed in was kitted out beautifully with views over a lovely pond. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed some walks around the lakes. We also enjoyed a meal at the restaurant, although service was a little slow. Thankfully we weren't in any rush as we were enjoying a good birthday dinner out but think others may not agree! We enjoyed using the Spa although we don't believe you can call it that when it's essentially a leisure facility for children to swim and jump etc. between the two pools. All that made it a spa was the quiet corridor with treatment rooms and a sauna/steam room on the poolside. Rebranding may be needed on that, or something done for other facilities to be used in order to turn it back into a spa. That would be our only grumble, and we hope to be able to visit again.

Lovely location, nice spacious house, everything done top class, just broadband really slow, same with phone connection, but views are lovely,tidy and clean,spa is good size, have enough playgrounds for kids as well, so overall very good experience,we will come back

Beautiful setting. The whole complex is well kept, and the variety of property designs, with its mix of Cotswolds/Scandinavian make it interesting. There were, as always on a let, a few minor issues, but everything was clean, and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us, inside and out. Will definitely be back!!

A great weekend away with family. The house was perfectly equipped and fitted all 10 of us with no problem. We used our bikes to explore the Estate and the kids loved the play area. Great views and very peaceful. We had a coffee in the Clubhouse but service was unfortunately very slow and put us off returning to try the food. The Artspa pool was great and the older children loved the opportunity to go in the outside pool too. I think if I had been having treatments in the spa though I may not have appreciated their presence! I was also refused entry at the time I was led to believe it opened, as only homeowners were allowed in for that hour (meaning adult renters would have had no child free time that day until after most would have had to leave anyway). This was particularly annoying as the place was empty! Still a lovely property in a fantastic setting.
