My wife, daughter and I went to the restaurant on a spur of the moment whim and even though it was Father's day we still got a table the food was great, the waitress and all the staff were very friendly and helpful and I even got a free Father's day gift. Loved it, thanks very much.

User

Lovely resturant, lovely food, nice staff, would eat there again

User

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Kyle and the rest of the Lucky Strike team. Always extremely friendly and helpful unlike a lot of other arcades and nothing is ever too much for them, even when we had to constantly call them over to remove a stuck toy. All the machines are constantly stocked too which is great. Thank you again and we will most definitely be returning when we come back to Skegness on holiday again.

Good place to have fun, nice cafe and staff.

User

The amusements were great! We also enjoyed a steak one night (very impressed and a HUGE serving), we went for breakfast this morning the bacon sandwich was lovely and the latte was perfect one this that ruined our visit was 2 members of staff messing around with a trolley! One was pushing the other around on the trolley (before moving a game) and ran into the back of my ankle causing quite a large cut! Which is still hurting 11hours later! I didn't get an apology or even an acknowledgement that they'd ran into me!! This behaviour from the 2 staff members really let it down for us, everyone else was lovely!

Don't know what happened to that restaurant but staff is so rude!!! Was with my baby, she was hungry so asked a kids meal with drinks order, and waitress told me that will take a food order later, i told that we want a kids meal first, she told me that they not doing separate meals for table, i askes one more time and she (waitress) wasn't happy but told ok. Then she brought our drinks and I ask for kids straw and never get it, so went to pick it on the bar. After our drinks we was waitink for food order 20min, after a asked if someone will serve us, cos we was ready to go on the bar and place the order. The food was good, we enjoyed it. But staff service is horrible! I never would live a bad feedback, cos working in same industry, but this time in restaurant was horrible, we left in bad mood.

User

User

Went there for a end of holiday family meal. I never complain or Write reviews however I was so shocked and disappointed in the whole meal and experience I had to. Long wait for food some of the worst food we have ever had. there was 7 of us in total 2 children 5 adults l. I could have understood if it was busy but it was really quiet. Non of us ended up eating our food as it was that bad. Would never eat there ever again staff are so rude and do not want to help. We ended up paying over ┬Ż110 In total for the food. What a rip off. When we finally got to talk to the manager she said well there's nothing I can do to be honest it was like they where not bothered and did not care as we where tourists . So we ended up paying bill in full and leaving

We have eaten in the Waterfront Restaurant on a number of occasions before and to be fair, have never experienced problems before. However, yesterday we took our grandson there for tea and the service was terrible. Sue, Henry and myself walked into the restaurant at about 17:15 and were seated at a table overlooking Grand Parade. We sat there and sat there, with no-one coming to take a drinks order, or asking if we were ready to order. At about 17:40, I strolled along to speak to a young waitress and asked her pleasantly, if someone could come to take our order. I then returned to my seat to wait expectantly, but still nothing happened for a good few minutes, although other tables were being served.

Eventually a young man turned up to take our order and I politely mentioned to him that we were not very pleased at the time we had to wait for someone to even acknowledge our presence. He blamed it on the erroneous fact that they were busy. I looked round the place, which was probably less than two thirds full and thought to myself, if this is "busy", I would dread to be here when you are full!! Still remaining polite, I asked the young man how long it would take to get the food out and he said half an hour. Sue and I looked at each other, then decided to vacate. I strolled along to the counter and made my displeasure known to a gentleman with a beard, who appeared to be in charge. He did apologise, but unfortunately his apology fell on deaf ears.

To cut a long story short, we drove to The View at the end of Winthorpe Avenue, which is one of our regular haunts. The View was a lot busier than the Waterfront, but we received our usual high quality meal within about 20 minutes from ordering, although the staff told us there would be a half hour wait.

I have a couple of suggestions for the Waterfront. At the very least, take a drinks order from your customers early on and get drinks out to them. It tends to keep them happy until you can be bothered to take their food order. Secondly, a manager needs to keep an eye on what's happening out on the "shop floor". It's no good hanging about behind the counter all the time - you need to get out on a regular basis, to see if you have enough fully trained staff looking after the punters who pay your bills.

Seen as I can't actually send you a message to complain I will just write it on here instead I came to lucky sstrike today with my 2 children my brother and sister in-law and there newborn baby and their 2 friends as it was along journey we decided to have food 1st but as we walked into the restaurant we were stopped by what appeared to be the manager (she was wearing no uniform)and asked if she could help I said oh sorry the girl at the desk said to just go in she then proceeded to say they were full so we couldn't eat there I could clearly see there were 2 tables completly empty without even going into the restaurant when questioned about it she still said ah yes we are still full questioning if we were wanting a meal or just drinks we were made to feel very uncomfortable embaessed and angry as though we were not good enough to be there as though it's a top class restaurant when all said and done it's a restaurant in an arcade in skegness I ended up just telling her i will take my business elsewhere because there is clearly an issue to which she then walked off and was talking to a waitress who looked over and clearly thought something was funny.......maybe that my kids were hungry.....disgraceful service she had lost you more then just the money for the food a group off 7 would have spent but also the arcade as I refused to spend a penny in there after that experience. From reading the other reviews I think it may be time to review your staff/management

User

I went into lucky strike caf├® yesterday with daughter and grandson , ordered my food or tried , as the girl with glasses had me repeat my order 3 times and then when our food was ready it was still wrong , I then noticed she was wearing a dirty looking bandage on her arm , made me feel a bit sick :-/

User

I have never had to leave a bad review anywhere previously however since I sent a direct message and you couldn't even take 30 seconds to atleast even apologise for the way your staff members treated us I will share this publicly.

I visited your arcade 'Lucky Strike' yesterday, 27/01/18 and around 6pm we were on the pacman bingo game located on the bottom floor for roughly ┬Ż10 worth of games and we were on a ┬Ż50 instant game by chomping the multicoloured Tetris like shape and then got 3 pacman's for an instant win and the machine dropped out only ┬Ż1. I went and explained to the man behind the counter and he called for somebody to meet us at the machine. We explained the situation to a young man and he went and got a colleague. Then they both came over and again we explained the situation and my partner said 'what does the pacman instant win mean?' To which he said you instantly win what is flashing on the screen and we said yes and we were on a ┬Ż50 game. We even told him to check the camera's and he advised the camera's do not show the screens. He then logged in to the machine to check our game and he said 'there's your game, ┬Ż1 win... the next game is ┬Ż50 win'. To which I replied 'no, our game was definitely ┬Ż50 as we had the symbol for the instant ┬Ż50 game' to which he replied 'I ain't just going to be able to give you ┬Ż50'. My partner asked again what the pacman instant win as we thought maybe this is the reason we only got ┬Ż1 even though it did say it was a ┬Ż50 instant game and then she was just ignored.

He then told the younger member of staff to give us ┬Ż2 out of the other machine and watch our games on that and see if any more problems arised as suddenly he had to leave? Coincidence? The other member of staff then placed the ┬Ż2 into the machine and walked off. I am appalled by the behaviour of the members of staff as we were made out to be a liar and felt very intimidated by these men due to being two young females.

No further investigation was made and all we was given was two free games which I feel is ridiculous and a mockery as we had won the ┬Ż50 fairly and had put a fair bit into all of your other machines previously. We then left immediately as a fair amount of your staff members were gathered by the counter making us feel like they were laughing at us.

I am very upset by how this has been dealt with and has made me reconsider putting any more money into these machines again.

I look forward to hearing your response within a reasonable time.

Sophie

I can not believe the staff in this arcade. After putting over ┬Ż20 in the 2p machine, the cow was touching the edge and the arcade attendant kept saying it wasnŌĆÖt touching the glass. I then put more in and watched it touch the glass and still wouldnŌĆÖt give us the teddy. Disgusting and will never return!

User

Found the floor staff very rude. We were playing the 2p machines and had nearly got the prize when we realised the 2ps we were putting in, were actually pushing the prize back. Mentioned this to floor staff, they actually opened up machine and put prize even further back. We went to a manager to complain and we were treated with contempt because we had the nerve to complain. Customer service was non existent, they didn't want to listen to us at all. I know its an arcade and you except a bit of conning, it is after all how you make your money, but a bit of customer service would be nice, would it have killed you just to give us the prize after realising your machine was faulty. We will never come back and I will be telling people to stay well clear. Thanks.
