I have become a regular at Lumbertubs as they allow my little dog in the bar area. I eat there most fridays with my disabled mum. The food is very good and modest price. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Had problems in the past but staff and management have always done there best to put things right. Came for Sunday lunch £18. For 2 meals a pint of larger and coke and got a free bottle of wine for my birthday. Well happy �

Went in as a group of five that at short notice became ten. Staff member was very helpful in initially reserving a table next to the one we had but then let us all add chairs to sit together at same table. Food was good, service was helpful and friendly. Only downside was one person asked for the chocolate brownie which was on the menu, but they said they didnt do it any more, and another request for the strawberry meringue wasnt available either.

I've been going the the lumbertubs for over 30 years, sometimes once a week, sometimes once a month, I have never ever had a bad meal, granted sometimes the food has been better than others, but nothing worth the bother of complaints, and I can be very very fussy with food, but imo some people go over the top about a wrinkly pea, the staff are lovely, never had to wait long, my only little gripe is the menus are sometimes very very sticky, need wiping over more regularly, I will continue to come for my tea on a Friday xxx

I'm new to the area. Hoping to make the Lumbertubs my local. Some of the comments on here nearly put me off but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Have been in 3 or 4 times now & found nothing to complain about. Staff friendly , food good - especially enjoyed my lunch yesterday - Seniors fish & chips followed by Apple pie & custard. Perfectly sized portions, served quickly , even though it was a busy lunchtime. Will definitely be going back.

I use this pub come restaurant many times month. Been coming here years. Even in days it was fat Henrys, which I used to love. Good place for meal. Has like all places turn over of staff, so it various on individual service. Has play area for smaller children.

Understaffed ever time I frequent the place and very unorganized as far as the food goes it is what it is cheap and not so cheerfull with many dishes freezer to microwave. 2 of the stars I've given it are really because it's within walking distance which gives the advantage of my wife and I both able to drink with a meal and more than convenient should we both be running late home from work.

The most bizarre menu I have ever seen..... 'Frickles' - deep fried pickles! Burgers with macaroni cheese or wotsits?! Surf & turf with steak scampi & chicken! Kids puddings the same size as adults, adult meals as small as the children's (scampi & chips) Overall the food was average/poor. Luke warm roast, chewy steak & baked Camembert with salsa & garlic bread.. lovely big portion of cheese but the combination did NOT work. The menu needs a serious revamp & the staff need to be trained as to what they are actually serving (no I do not want cold custard!) The only thing that saved this awful assault on my taste buds was the awesomeness of the staff & their ability to keep smiling.

Myself & 21 other friends, who bring in quite alot of business for Lumbertubs, are feeling very let down because our event has had to be cancelled because Lumbertubs have doubled booked us with another party in their meeting room.

I’ve had better burgers in a Wetherspoons.

Also is there a fries ration? I think there was maybe 11 on the plate

Went to have lunch with my family for lunch today and was disgusted with the service and rudeness from the man behind the bar. Apparently his name was Kieran. Serving regulars before me having waited I said Politely that I had been waiting and was before the man serving He was very very rude. Safe to say I did not eat or drink here and won’t be returning and will be telling others of my visit and to avoid the place. Disgusting manners and I will be taking this further.

Well.... what can I say, other than shocking 😫!

Chicken = pre cooked and then microwaved and to be honest I actually wouldn't feed it to me dog.... sorry but really!.

The nachos were pretty rubbish too, not much sauce and the pulled pork for an extra quid was desert spoon size 😩 and the nachos looked like Doritos 😞!

Am sorry to have to write this as you are our local and very disappointing 😑

Staff couldn't care less, 57 minutes wait for food, cold still partly frozen fish - when I complained waitress huffed and asked if I'd like another meal equally as bad and £2.20 cheaper as they had no more fish did I get were sorry or let us refund the difference NO! Toilets filthy locks on doors not working and they stunk!!! Will we be back - I think not!!!

Was very smokey inside, ordered fish n chips the fish was aweful, worst I had ever had, could have got some frozen fish and cooked it better, the food took ages to come out, there was a few of us and I finished mine before other people had even got theirs. Also service atvthe bar was very slow, withone of the staff just standing there talking to someone when theres a lot of prople that. Won't be going again. Very disappointed.

Very poor service. Was told hour and half came out in 40 mins cold. Food was horrible(dislike the new menu/chef). Had to ask for table to be cleared twice ..... shame as I used to love eating here. Won't be coming again.�

That was a pretty disgusting Christmas meal putting thousand island sauce in a pot and serving it with defrosted prawns is NOT a prawn cocktail,serving a couple of 5cm by 3cm pieces of dried turkey with veg is NOT Christmas dinner and that was NOT cheesecake and your disabled facilities are shocking.

Never again.

Shambolic waited ages to get served and the place was dead the tables that weren't reserved were filthy had to move glasses and crisp packets so we could put plates on table the food was awful asked for a medium steak it was cremated and as tough as old boots first visit and won't be back on the plus side the staff we dealt with were very pleasant

Rude arrogant waitress, who thinks it's ok to tell you to hurry up eat your food and fuck off, all because you complained about your food being cold �� wouldn't recommend
