absolutely the best meal we've had in ....well ever if I'm honest. ribs were perfect, lasagne was the best I've ever tasted and even managed a few profiteroles... exquisite.. we will be going back very soon . ��

We were made very welcome, shown to a lovely table and the afternoon tea with process was a delight. We couldn't eat all the patisserie and didn't want to leave it so the staff popped it in a takeaway box for us to enjoy later. We didn't see much of the hotel, but the restaurant area was very pleasing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely do it again and we looked at the menu for dinner which looked delicious too so we will be back. Thank you Marcos staff for a wonderful afternoon.

The hospitality offered to us was 2nd to none. The staff were lovely, helpful and polite. The food was as good as, if not better value than many other local establishments in the area. Amazing coffee, tiramisu and my 10 yr old chocolate brownie expert said it's the best one he's ever eaten. High praise indeed!!

Had a New Year Day lunch yesterday, friendly staff, ( always feel sorry for people having to work bank holidays) but nothing was too much trouble, our first course was Pork Terrine, very tasty, the main course was Lamb Shank, a very generous one, delicious. Plenty of vegetables which weren’t over cooked. The portion of cheesecake again was generous, & a good selection of cheeses was also presented. Very pleased with the whole lunch.

Yes the place was clean and tidy. But the food was good but not fantastic, I've eaten at my local which serves way better food at a fraction of the price. I asked the staff if it was a hearty meal which they said yes but was slightly disappointed when it arrived with a small pan with a few fries with the meal. This appears to be the trouble when a famous chef puts his name to a place but unfortunately doesn't deliver.

Average food, average prices. Had the ribs which were ok until I got to the middle and it was more carrlidge than actual bone. Chips undercooked. Boyfriend had a burger was nice. Wine was minging paid £21ish for a Sauvignon, tasted better bath water!!

Had an expensive burger was as good as a weatherspoons burger that would of been half the price and would of come with a beer, the beer is very expensive £5.50 a pint, definitely not worth the expense.

A jumped up Frankie and benny’s! Average food but lovely staff. Spa and fitness suite was dire...this is not a relaxing spa retreat it’s a stifling dated hotel that’s only good before jumping on a plane!

6 of us arrived for a 21st birthday. We ordered 3 lots of sharing platters for starters and only 1 came out. We ask where the others were and was told he only ordered one. The manager came over offered to send out some garlic bread and nachos as they are quick to do, which we accepted to find it on our bill which we paid for.

Food was pub grub with a hefty service charge on top and wasn’t that great

Wouldn’t recommend it ordered a steak � off the gluten and dairy free menu (£28 steak) and the rocket salad had parmesan cheese all over it and the spinage side dish that was highlighted as dairy free was soaked in butter

The gluten free sweat potato fries where coated in some sort of flour so I doubt they where gluten free

On the plus side only had to ask 3 times for a bottle of water

Very disappointed with the food it was like they had heated it up in the microwave I had the roast chicken there was nothing roasted about it and my colleagues had the salmon however there was so much cheese over the salmon they could not taste the salmon - the wine was standard but they charge nearly £11 for a glass of wine

Unfortunately I was hungry otherwise I would have sent the food back. The New York chicken wings tasted like a poor quality chicken. The beef lasagne was a beef mush and the garlic cheese pizza bread did not taste of garlic at all. The pizza base was very good and the wine was extremely nice. I had to ask for Parmesan and for a ‘Marco Pierre White’ restaurant I would have expected the finger bowl water to be warm.

The food was mediocre at best. My wife order blue cheese sauce with her steak and got a white sauce loaded with flour! Seen and tasted better glue. The Gallic bread with the starter was burnt the chips were straight out the freezer even though we were told they were home made. I had the Calzone was definitely frozen! If I was Marco and seen this food being dished up I’d take my name from the above the door. I could recommend a thousand better restaurants to spend £100 of hard earned cash!

Not a nice experience, food was good but all guests cramped into a small area, whilst the rest of the restaurant was empty, very loud and noisy, couldn’t hear yourself speak, waiters couldn’t get round the tables, complained to management not interested, sooner carry on chatting with rest of the staff, expensive disappointing evening, wouldn’t recommend, if management aren’t bothered what does that tell you
