Would recommend highly. Professional pleasant staff, convivial atmosphere and food cooked to perfection by Luke N and Kyle. I had the Chicken and ribs combo which was absolutely delicious and my partner had the Chicken and Mushroom Stilton. Only slight criticism is with the portion size (for an adult) of the Chicken and Mushroom Stilton as this was rather small. Also I would suggest a little more Stilton would be beneficial but the accompanying sauce was divine. Definitely worth a visit!

Went to Maxwells Loughborough for a Saturday treat with my partner Maggie her daughter JODIE. My grandson's Max and Louie. Chrissy our server was out of this world nothing was any trouble. Bless her she even opened those dreadful sachets of sauces. You know the one's I mean. The kids wanting about 4 each. The food was fantastic two very tastey mixed grills. Plus 3 mains for the children plus ice cream plus all the extras that come with it no food left on any of the plates. The meats for the mixed grills were cooked to perfection not an easy task for any chef. And we were all full. And the best thing of all the price. The children all had drinks with Thire meals. We had drinks with our meal. All for a round £30.00 was well worth the visit. Looking forward to meeting chrissy and all the staff for our second visit. Will post a review to let you know how we got on. But just know it's going to be another well worth visit. Thanking all of the staff at Maxwells in Loughborough for making us all very welcome and full.

This place I can honestly say has the best breakfast in town on a sizzling plate..i will try and have this any opportunity I get it's that good. I don't think you can fault this pub for food...its not fine dinning but it's great food non the less..Iam always impressed with how much of a bargain it seems.

User

The staff are great can't fault them helpful make you feel welcome and lovely food and drink keep up the good work

User

Nicely furnished, pleasent atmosphere and friendly staff that always makes us feel welcome. Usually go in for breakfast and the value is brilliant for what is provided.

User

My two daughters and my self went for a meal friday night for t first time food was first class service was brill staff was very friendly nothink was two much trouble would recommend maxwells

User

Its really improved since the last take over, the food is superb, good range of beers, kiddie friendly and also good for a night out at the weekend with the other half. Happy to call it my local again!!

User

Great food and friendly staff made a great night

User

Came in for lunch on Sunday as a last minute thing. Was impressed, place was clean tidy and staff were friendly. Food was tasty and the prices are so reasonable. Cant really say anything bad. The skyscraper burger was amazing (even without the onion rings - as the pub had ran out) 5*

User

After avoiding this place for a while I can say that after today's visit things have improved, stopped off after picking the lad up after school club for a bite to eat and was very satisfied all round, kids eat for a £1 when adults order there main meal.

User

You have to take Maxwells for what it is. Cheap and cheerful pub food. The food is generally good. The burgers are great! Go elsewhere if you fancy a good steak though! The service can be a bit hit and miss. If Chrissy is on, you'll get a clean table and service with a smile. If not, you may struggle to find a clean table on busy days.

User

Spent a lot of time in this pub as it has been local for me. Even when we moved we still came back to eat..... however.... it's now way past it's revamp date with dark dismal lighting, sticky table tops, worn furnishings and even the Coors beer has a funny taste sometimes. Come on brewery team , bring it into 2017 !!

The food ain't half bad most of the time and it's the only reason why we bother to go back as the price ain't bad for what you get. Shame on the rest of it but with the closure of two other pubs within 10 mins walking distance of it now has the customer base to make it a real good pub.

User

Lovely food but last time we went the children wanted burger meals but they had ran out of cobs which wasn’t good !!! Bit slow on serving food up too. But food is nice

User

Been today and waited quite a while for food which when finally came was nice but can't thank the waitress Chrissy enough she was kind friendly and attentive only member of staff we seen to actually be doing anything whilst others stood around doing nothing. She was rushing around each table in. A colleague went toilet and was no toilet roll when asked for some was given blue roll to use.

User

Been into today with friends waited ages for food .. however the was was very nice. The only member of staff that seemed to be working was chrissy .. very attentive to the customers and a lovely smile

User

Table wasn't clean, had to clear it ourselves. Glasses are dirty, waited ages for food, tiny portions, under 5 and over 5 meals were exactly the same size.. bacon and gammon were burnt, chips were chewy like they'd be sat for hours and reheated, and bread was stale. Wouldn't go back.

User

When i saw the half full pint glass in the car park, we should have turned around and gone elsewhere. I cleared my own table and wiped it clean with the spray provided by the condiments. The food took 45 mins which isn't completely unreasonable however it wasnt the best. Wouldn't come again for free.

Today I took my family to Maxwell's there was 12 of us , we had starters and mains plus drinks so you can imagine the bill. We would of ordered puddings to had not of been for the disgusting service and bad attitude of there duty manager (there are no words to describe how rude and condescending this women was )

We sat there for near on 2hours and only received our starters in that time , when we asked the staff why it was taking so long the duty manger came over and was very rude to me and other family members . There was no apologies from her only the excuse that there kitchen was to small , bare in mind we rang ahead to make sure they could cater for 12, and was told it wouldn't be a problem ,when the food came it was cold and you could tell it had been microwaved .

we have used this pub many times before for family functions including my father's wake this experience was so bad we will not be using this pub again!!!!

User

The lager was warm and not pleasant to drink the table I sat at was was sticky and dirty
