About Melton Vets
A friendly, independent veterinary practice in Melton Mowbray with approachable staff where every pet is offered the highest quality of care.
Melton Vets Description
Melton Vets is an independent vet practice in Melton Mowbray
We decided it was time to set up an independent practice that focused on the values that were most important to us and our clients.
We strive to be active participants in our local community and most importantly make a visit to the vets informative and compassionate for you the owner; yet hopefully a relaxing and fun experience for your pet.
We are fortunate to have had an opportunity to design and build our facilities. These include a cat friendly waiting area, separate dog and cat wards with comfortable hospitalisation facilities, a spacious prep area leading to a dedicated operating theatre, a modern diagnostic suite with digital radiography and ultrasound, a separate dental suite and facilities to isolate your pet should they be seriously ill.
We are located on the Snow Hill industrial estate with ample on site parking facilities.
We provide a 24hr emergency service at the surgery ensuring continuity of care for you and your pets.
We could not be more excited about our lovely modern practice and look forward to welcoming friends (furry and human! ), old and new, to our home.

Introducing VetPost – our new home delivery service! Never miss a flea, tick or worm treatment again. #VetPost #HomeDelivery
UPDATE: now reunited thank you for the shares
Fleas have voracious appetites! Adult fleas infest the pet and feed directly from capillaries and begin to feed within a few minutes (typically 5-10 mins). Did you also know an adult female flea can ingest about 15x her body weight in blood in one go? Therefore, heavy infestations on puppies and kittens may cause anaemia and can sadly lead to death. It’s important to seek treatment for your young animals quickly! #Fleas #GetFleaProtection

Ticks are on the rise! Wetter springs, longer summers, and milder autumns and winters, are likely to support increasing tick populations in the UK, among other factors. Remember to protect your pet from ticks all year round! #TickProtection #HedgehogTick
