Has anyone wondered how well your actually washing your hands?

For those wondering why everyone is not told to self isolate, this is a good explanation! Let keep the vulnerable safe and the NHS for the people who are really in danger!

NEW TREATMENT ANNOUNCEMENT!
I'm pleased to announce that I will now be incorporating Localised Cryotherapy during treatments.
What is it and what are the benefits?
... Cryotherapy, also known as cold therapy, is the use of ice and extremely low temperatures to help with pain relief, assist in post-injury rehabilitation and accelerate muscle recovery time. It can also treat muscle spasms, reduce swelling and inflammation, and boost performance. Localised cryotherapy allows specific areas of the body to be targeted with cold air at temperatures close to 0C.
Localised cryotherapy is not just for professional sports players - it's suitable for anybody with an acute injury, and can treat a multitude of concerns.
I'm proud to say that Michael Gould Sports Therapy is currently one of only a handful of businesses in the country that offers this service, and I am also THE ONLY sports therapist using an X°CRYO machine outside of London!

This is a really good way to visualise why you get pain from over doing it, but more importantly why you get more pains after a period of complete rest after injury rather than modified rest

This graph represents the pain and function to an injury as time passes.
You can see that pain can still be present well after the return to sport time... this is because the body is still healing the injured tissue even though it is strong enough to cope with the demands needed to continue activity.
Obviously the return to sport and duration of pain and increase in function is different depending on the severity of the injury.
... Each injury is different every time and every person reacts differently

Who wants to see what an complete ACL tear looks like once all the swelling and bruising has disappeared??
To be honest I think the PCL has probably gone here too!
But as you can clearly see there is nothing stopping any anterior translation of the tibia

User

Gym goers, please don't do this (only on about the leg press in the video) 😅🤦‍♂️
It makes my knees hurt just watching it. This is an old video now, but by locking your knees out like this it puts lots of stress on your ACLs and potentially could be the reason behind an injury.
Not to worry this video isn't squeamish for those who are worried

This is a good picture showing what the meniscus looks like and all the different types of tears what can occur in it.

So many people I see tell me they have bad posture. So I ask them: what exactly is good posture?
Remember everyone is different and as long as its not affecting you, does it matter? Even if it does matter, is the posture you have had for years suddenly going to cause that muscle to spasm because you moved or slept funny??
