Well I'm quite fussy with food but this is the 2nd time I've been here. The quality and taste didn't let me down. Service was great it was spot on loved the food and cocktails Keep it up miller and carter ;)

We went there yesterday for my sons 10th birthday. My son wanted a steak and we’d heard great things about the restaurant so decided to book and go.

Service was brilliant very quick and the lady made it very special for my son as on his dessert they wrote happy birthday, which also had candles in it. A lovely touch, he was over the moon.

Food was excellent and portion size was just enough.

Would definitely recommend and will be back for another birthday celebration soon.

We hadn't booked but early evening birthday meal meant we got a table.

My husband ate from the £15.95 set menu 2 courses. My Daughter and I from the bigger menu.

Main plus starters. My husband had rump steak which came with fries. My Daughter had the Steak Burger which she said was lovely luckily she doesnt like tomato or coleslaw so that padded out my Husbands meal...the iceberg lettuce with a dressing just doesnt cut it as veg.

I had the Tempurar Cod lovely but the mushy peas were a bit dried up.

Afters were the Meringue for me, absolutley heavenly. Ice cream for my Daughter she loved that and from the set menu the posset which was also lovely. Wine was a white zinfandel which was very palatable.

Its not cheap though and is it value for money maybe for a special occasion but not somewhere for a weekly meet

We had a lovely birthday lunch yesterday. Food was lovely, staff were great, very helpful even put happy birthday on one of the desserts for us, there were 10 of us and we all loved it, Thank you Miller and Carter x

We celebrated our anniversary this evening and it was the best meal in a long time, Natalia was amazing and made us feel so welcome she even noticed it was our anniversary and made our dessert special.

Visited last night with my wife on our monthly date night, when we arrived it took a good 5 minutes or so for someone to seat us which put a slight sour taste in my mouth! The waitress Tia came over promptly and took our drinks order, I had a becks blue as I was driving and my wife a pinot grigio rose which she said was lovely. We chose to eat from the January set menu, my wife chose the rump steak with chips and lettuce wedge which she said was gorgeous, she had her steak medium and was so tender and juicy it was magnificent! I chose the bacon cheese burger and I've got to admit that despite having eaten many burgers in my time this was by far the best I had ever eaten, the steak burger melted in your mouth, the bacon was smokey and the burger sauce complimented both perfectly! For dessert we both chose the chocolate brownie which was to die for! Having felt initially a bit annoyed at having to wait to be seen at the door, in the end our visit was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive, polite and enthusiastic and made us feel very welcome and the food was amazing. Great value for money, we will be returning and recommending to everyone.

Salt and pepper squid starter to get the juices flowing, followed by ribeye steak, best I've had for a long time. Lovely cool creme brûlée to finish. All in all a very very good night.

Me and my boyfriend went to there yesterday and we totally fell in love with that place. We've been served by a lovely polish lady - Natalia. She was a star! Extremely nice and helpful. Food was delicious, one of the best we had in a long time. Definitely coming back soon �

Excellent meal and service was first class as always had been on previous times there.

Visited with family and friends, the starters arrived at the table very quickly and were very hot, for the mains most of us had the fillet steak medium rare and it was excellent as evidenced by the empty plates.

Again the sweet course arrived quickly and was most appealing.

I have to say the server "Natalie " was a credit to Miller and Carter by providing excellent service through and helping with choices.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and we all look forward to our next visit.

Absolutely amazing night!! Myself and my girlfriend loved every minute, the food is incredible and our waitress Natalia was great and made us feel very welcome! A regular spot for us ...... the steak is perfection melts in the mouth. Starters are also spot on as are the cocktails! Yum yum !!

Went for lunch yesterday (Wednesday) - our 2nd visit. This experience was much better than our 1st visit on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were excellent both times; but obviously it's nicer if they aren't pressured too much. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. There is a lovely choice of drinks, with the largest choice of non-alcoholic beverages I've ever seen. We are able to pick our time to visit as we are retired; and we will be back. �

We went on speck on bank holiday Monday and it was 8 o’clock, and hit a table straight away, service was good, food was delicious. Even thou they had been so busy all day, atmosphere was calm and not rushed at all, would highly recommend to anyone and have been for lunch there too. And equally the same. Will definitely return again .

We booked a table for 6, but in the end only 5 of us could make it. The 4 that arrived on time were greeted in an efficient and friendly manner, and our drinks order was taken quickly. When our final guest arrived the service quickly added their drink to the order and all arrived promptly. Our waitress was on the ball, and we ordered our starters and mains. The starters arrived very promptly - all very delicious!! They included Garlic King Prawns and Scallops. They arrived promptly and all were delicious! We’d ordered 4 steak dishes and one Lamb dish. The restaurant was very busy, but we had to ask twice when the mains would be delivered, as we felt we waited a bit too long. But when the steaks and lamb arrived they were fantastic! Sirloin and rump - it all melted in the mouth. Sauces and chips were great. We had just enough digesting time before our lovely waitress came over to take our desert order. Chocolate brownies and banoffie pie were to die for!! Lovely meal, and nice wine/beer. Can’t wait for my next visit!!

Food and service very good. Natalia our waitress was excellent. It is a little pricey so knocked off a star. Small thing - One or two pesky flies in the restaurant, closing both glass doors should eliminate this. We know the restaurant has air con if it gets too warm.

We went there on a Saturday two months ago and it was very good, so we went back..... But last night, for a special birthday, was very poor. It took us 30 mins to get a drink. It took an hour and a quarter to get food. And the food was so poor this time. The rib-eye steak was half gristle and the chicken was dry and overcooked. Dessert took half an hour to bring out, and by then we'd totally lost the will to live. Our waitress, ironically, was very good and totally apologetic but she was so overworked (in a restaurant that was only a third full) that all we could do is feel sorry for her. When it came to pay we had to walk around to find anyone who would take our payment - if we'd walked out nobody would have known. And for all this hassle it's not cheap - never going again and would certainly steer my friends away from this place.

We had a table booked for 6pm for my girlfriends mums birthday. We were sat at the table straight away and told someone would be with us shortly.

We waited........we waited........and we waited. Until finally we had to ASK someone to get us some drinks. We had sat waiting for 15minutes at this point. We finally got a waitress arrive at our table at 6:25. She then asked us if she could get us our drinks? We said we’d ordered already but we’re still waiting. She said she’d get the drinks and then take our order on return. We then got our drinks and ordered our food. But because we’d waited so long to order some drinks we also thought we’d best order some more when we ordered the food. We did so and then I sat and watched as staff continually walked past the bar where our drinks were sat waiting to be brought to the table. At one point there was 4 people stood at your ‘entrance/greeting’ counter.....and not one of them looked interested in actually dealing with customer issues.



To be fair our food was very nice all the way through the evening but it was just that the service wasn’t great (even though our waitress was helpful in herself!). We also got told to be careful of using the steak knives. Now I’m sorry but on our table there wasn’t anyone under the age of 30 so please don’t think ALL people are that stupid/unintelligent as to use a knife.

1 star for poor service. 4 stars for the food.

Visited this restaurant yesterday evening 30th January 2018. The company needs to spend some of its exorbitant profits and employ more staff. Slow service, waiting staff having to pour own drinks for their customers, which doesn't help.



The January menu sounds good but £7 extra for a Rib Eye steak!!!! you are joking, it is quite simply a massive rip off, and not worth it, plus no way is it 8oz!!!!!



The Chicken Nuggets or "Chicken Lollipops" as they choose to call them were burnt for both my Grand Children, luckily at 4 and 5 years of age they didn't know the difference and as we had already waited ages for them we decided to just let it go, plus there probably would have been tears at their food being taken away from them.



My Steak was overdone, my daughters was underdone but again as it had taken a long while we decided to just eat it.

Shame on the so called “Chefs “ you should be ashamed of yourselves producing this standard of food, when they quote "beef is the labour of love here"



This is the 3rd visit to this place and each time the overall quality has gone down so finally I have learnt my lesson.



What a joke you are Mitchells and Butler, you should be ashamed of yourselves ripping off the public who trust you to serve good food for what is not cheap so for a bill totaling £170 for my family, I will not be dining in your restaurants again, I can get better service and food quality at a Pizza Express!!!!!!

A few months ago I would have happily given thus restaurant 5 stars. However it seems that they just don't care anymore.



I did try reaching out via messenger to highlight some issues I had with my last visit, but they couldn't even be bothered to respond so now I have no problem at all in rating the 2 stars publically.



I visited a 2 weeks ago. The steak was so burnt I could snap it in half (and I did to the waitress) but the staff didn't really care that I wasn't happy with my meal. The service was shocking.....especially as there were only 3 other tables at the time. And the customer service non existent.





To the management

....I strongly suggest you invest in new staff or training as you are going to lose a lot of regular customer, such as my family, if this is the service you offer now.
