About Mjp Motors

A friendly local garage, offering M. O. T's, servicing and repairs to all vehicles specialising in Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda.

Mjp Motors Description

M. J. P was founded in 1969 by Michael John Pruden who opened the garage in Eskdaill Street. The garage catered for mechanical vehicle repairs, and also body work with its own paint booth. The early 1980s brought the popularity of the vw air cooled vehicles. M. J. P successfully specialised in importing and repairing the vw beetle and thus the story began. Moving with modern times the theme continued specialising now in Audi, Vw, Seat, and Skoda, yet we still remain versatile to offer repairs to any vehicle.

The good old vw wiring up to its tricks again. No boot activation on a 2010 vw beetle. Feed wires in harness split in two.

When the driveshaft cv joint won't release from the hub on a 2005 vw polo, things get interesting.

The mysterious loss of gears on this 2009 Peugeot 406 coupe turned out to be a de coupled cable joint.

When a water pump on a 2litre Audi a3 never gets replaced, and does 120,000 miles. It's never gonna look good. Losing water as quick as topped up. New cam Belt kit and pump with some fresh antifreeze sorted it out.

A bit of a van theme going on, the old engine has been removed the replacement lump is nearly ready to drop back in.

User

This has got to be the most unreal strip down for alternator access ever. Replaced and now charging correctly.

A couple of jobs from this week, Cam Belt and water Pump on VW tiguan. And air conditioning pressure switch on Audi RS4 ready for the warm weather. Thanks Peter cross, and Liz bierton.

Absolutely loved working on this beetle today, feels really retro, but has a nice modern touch. Diesel with plenty of ummphh.

Another case of the vw black death, 2010 passat with a throttle run issue, upon finding this in both manifold flap and e.g.r I'm not surprised. New pierberg components fitted, sweet as a bit.

User

Another timing belt kit and water pump today on a 2013 Audi a4. Thanks for using us Mr and Mrs Jarrow.

I've seen some oil leaks in my time, but this wins hands down. 2005 golf Fsi. This was without it running.

User

Had a awesome Porsche Carrera in for an M.O.T today. Loved the colour. With limited edition spec kit.

User

Today the big component swap over, tomorrow the moment of truth.

User

Another big job in process, engine exchange on 2009 Skoda Octavia with a poorly crank and cylinder 4 conrod. Replacement engine complete.

User

All sorted, 2011 ford transit engine shop over, sounds sweet with a fully reconditioned ivor Searle replacement.

User

It's been quite a while since we've had one of these to do, the good old vw lawnmower engine with jumping timing chain. Both cams offset when crank pinned. Runs as smooth as silk now all replaced.

User

Really enjoyed doing this Audi Q5 cam belt kit and water pump today. Scared Mr Patara with the strip down pictures.

User

Well I guess that explains the knocking noise, free floating rear hub assembly on bmw one series, bolt totally missing. The alloy doesn't look to round either.
