Last week in tweenies we had lots of fun playing with our mummies for the mothers day stay and play and we enjoyed making special gifts for them. We have also been very interested in animals so we have been including them in lots of activities like the sand and water and even playdough and we also played with the edible farm which we really enjoyed feeding the animals.

Over the last 2 weeks Green room have been exploring different textures, decorating our own banana splits, experimenting with flour, paint and shaving foam. We investigated new foods and read the Hungry Caterpillar, making sure he had lots to eat with our new post box. Also, we have been focusing on farm animals, encouraging sounds and single words.

This week in Preschool we have loved celebrating Mother’s Day and the start of spring too. We loved our stay and play where our mummies and nannies came in to play. We had a go at weaving our own flowers from wool and planted some of our own flowers which we will watch grow into beautiful, colourful flowers. We also had lots of conversations about how flowers grow and what creepy crawlies we would find near them. Preschool had lots of fun baking some biscuits too!

Last week in Pink room we enjoyed our Mothers day stay and play session with lots of activities such as coloured cornflour, reading stories and making our loved ones a lovely decorated flower picture. We have also enjoyed making yummy chocolate corn flake cakes this week and playing with the moon sand and seeing what shapes and moulds we can make out of it.

Last week Tweenies have had lots of fun baking. They all enjoyed exploring the different smells and tastes and how we make all of the yummy treats. They have also focused on turn taking and sharing this week, each having a go at mixing and rolling the different ingredients. This week we are going to be looking at colours. So look out for all the fun activities we have out this week!

In preschool this week our theme has been weather, during this we have had the opportunity to discuss weather and how we prepare ourselves for the weather. We have thoroughly enjoyed making rainbow cakes. Through this we learned about quantities and amounts. We have also been painting bubble wrap to make our own rainbows where we figured that we can see colours clearly. Preschool have also made rain clouds where we discussed the weather and what we wear in certain weathers. ...We have also had icy water where we can feel the cold on our hands and what weather we feel the cold in and how we can prevent feeling cold. We have noticed that the children have also been interested in different animals, and creating their own enclosures for the animals in the zoo, so next week we will be looking at a variety of different activities that will look into animals and the way they live and move to elaborate on this interest further.

Last week in the Green Room we have been listening to The Three Little Pigs, The Hungry Caterpillar and The Gruffalo stories. The children enjoyed listening to the stories and exploring a sensory tray based on what the pigs built their houses on, food that the caterpillar ate and playdough representing the different coloured parts of the Gruffalo. The children also listened to The Gingerbread Man and decorated biscuits. The children enjoyed Happy and You Know It and we discussed body parts using pictures and had a go at foot painting. The children also had fun exploring in the sensory room and different sensory items placed under cling film on the table, we also had fun learning numbers and practising our fillings and emptying skills with the measuring jugs in the water.

This is a wonderful nursery. My daughter loves going even when she's not feeling well! My daughter has come on leaps and bounds, she loves the one on one, the fantastic sensory room. All the nursery workers are so friendly and really look after the children, management are brilliant too if there's a problem they deal with it very quickly and resolve any issues! I've recommended this nursery to a few people and now their children are there. It's just an awesome place for my daughter to be!

My daughter has recently started, sending them to nursery is never an easy decision. From the minute we viewed the nursery we knew it was the right one. Cannot fault anyone, all staff are very welcoming and friendly and management are very approachable. Think your all a fantastic team but cannot thank Amy enough for her help and support with settling Olivia in. We have noticed a massive change to her and she certainly has a soft spot for you. Would not hesitate in recommending you guys. Best nursery experience we have ever had.
