Whilst my son is basketball training, I can spend time in the gym. Instead of going home then coming back to pick him. Great facilities, very welcoming staff. Defo 5 stars for the arena and staff cxc

User

This is going to be so good for the city and the people of Leicester

User

Really coming along now, cant wait for the first game with a full house !

User

Had an absolutely brilliant night at the arena. John Bishop was funny from start to finish. Arrived literally just about 8.00 so avoided any queues. We had to queue for drinks but that’s to be expected.

I really hope they host more of these gigs in the future.

User

Great venue, staff and volunteers are amazing....

User

First time at the arena and the first time watching the Leicester Riders. Great game at a superb facility. A real credit for Leicester!

User

Fabulous facilities, really friendly staff & very well organised! We came to see Leicester Riders with our local juniors basketball team & it was a great experience for them as well as my self! Will defiantly be back!

User

Amazing venue... I am hooked with basketball since my son started playing, but there's more to the arena than just basketball! If you are looking for venue give them a call.

User

Absolutely brilliant night atmosphere was fab. Staff excellent did what they had to and ignored the moaners..we were waiting to go to our seats and couldn't go through due to the team coming out...a few disgruntled people waiting in the que but hey ho the staff had their instructions and had to do their job. Can't always please everyone!

User

A fantastic facility for Leicester, it's been a long time coming but we'll worth the wait.

User

Parking pretty good, you can normally use an industrial unit (provided it's closed)can get a beer, enjoyed it.

User

The arena itself is fine, been a couple of times with a sporting event.

But the cafe needs definite improvement.

The staff are slow, the service is slow - it took 10 minutes to be served (with only 4 people in front of me, and then it took 10-15 minutes for the food (a sandwich) to come out - the menu was sloppily hand written with only 3 or so options.

There is a big poster behind the bar stating ' we are allergen aware'. None of the staff could tell me what was gluten free and when I asked for the allergen book (by law you either must have this written down or your staff must provide info orally), nor did they seemt hat bothered with trying to find it.

Ended up with a bottle of coke for lunch- thanks.

If you have an allergy, do NOT eat at the in-arena cafe, bring your own packed snacks.

User

Reply disappointed for first visit for Lightning game, dirty/dusty toilets and the seating hadn't been cleaned in weeks clearly! There at 3pm couldn't get a hot drink till 5.30pm!!! A small bottle of water and a 'cup' of coke £4.50, was going to watch a Riders game don't think we will bother!

User

For a newly built basketball venue, some aspects very poorly thought out. No individual scoring/foul information on the scoreboards. Only one shot clock working in last visit. However, venue lighting is good.

User

2 stars for a few simple reasons. Was there last night for John Bishop. Firstly, parking was great and security/organising staff amazingly friendly and helpful - this isnt usually the case at such venues. Catering - prices for drink not bad, but.. Food was shocking - preheated cheeseburger where all the heat had gone when I was served it - cheese slice had not even melted.....and a pizza twist, the only thing on offer for 4.50 a pop if I remember correctly. We were lucky and were one of the first in the building so didnt queue long to be served, but after a few bites the food went in the bin. Then as the arena started to fill the queues were massive for the 2 corner cafe's and the 2 pop up bars. I dunno....for the basketball this is possibly sufficient (lots of kids so no drinking and parents also not so much), but for a Friday night event with John Bishop where many are having a night out, possibly direct from work they want a drink or 4 and something half decent to munch. Then the show started and it was good. Then the interval - the combination of queues for the 2 pop up bars and people trying to get to the loos lead to a huge jam/throng of people for the doors. The corridors and toilets are not sufficient for this number of people (in practical terms, regardless of any legal H&S requirement). It was hell ans simply spoiled the enjoyment for people. Those going out for a fag... there was no stamp on the hand or check on security out or in - so anybody could have enterred the building during the interval (i know, I went out for a vape myself) - but the smell of smoke wafted into the building and along the corridors as all were smoking directly by the automatic doors). I could then see security capped the drinks queues at that point, but the interval had already lasted 30 minutes. At that moment we left (not because of the show or the building - we just saw it was going to be delayed, would be a big throng on leaving and were frankly starving and wanted to ensure we could eat as the bite of the burger/pizza twist wouldnt keep us going into the night) - so I didnt see how things ended. Dear Leicester Arena - dont be downhearted! I understand this is one of the first such gigs you have held here. All of the negative points I have highlighted can be addressed for future events with a bit of thought and planning and then such future events will be a great success (and make you a lot more money on the drinks/food front to probably more than cover any additional cost of the measures required to address the points I raise). The venue has a lot of potential and if the team can continue with the positive/friendly attitude I witnessed last night (that's a bloody good starting point you know...) then you will be more than OK and successful commercially! It would be easy to just be critical, but I hope you find my comments constructive!

User

Watching Shaan performance live at Leicester arena I must say the promoter chose a rubbish venue everything is rubbish from seating to the sound they have used garden chairs for the front of the stage and people have silly money for garden chairs .You have to wait in long ques out side the building in rain.Absolute waste of time and money.

Demon fort has 100 time better facilities than this bag of shit no impressed at all.

User

Over the Christmas holiday time I attended a few of the open sessions and they were all too busy because they didn't open the third Court.

This could of been an amazing run out with a great mix of players young and old. 3 full courts of basketball with everyone getting court time or practice in.

I got the feel that they didn't know what to expect which is fine but surly if it's busy first few sessions make the third court available as well. It should be available anyway because some people won't be back I'm sure.

A bit lazy behaviour at the centre when basketball is trying to get people and a following into the sport.

I left and asked for my money back, others may not have but I guarantee lots of customers wasn't happy, hopefully something is done. Players and availability should come first. It's a Basketball facility!

User

Awful organisation, thousands of people going very thirsty. 1 person serving drinks on the bar, after queuing for an hour we got told by a manager to use the other bar as there was no queue and John Bishop was about to start. When we got there they were told to stop serving and refused to poor us a simple drink which we’d waited a long time for. We then got told by security to leave and take our seats! Been here for 3 hours now and still haven’t got a drink...

User

An absolute farce. Security spent all night telling us to sit down while others wandered around as they liked in the aisles. First in the line for the meet and greet until they moved the line and left wandering around. It’s a shame as we love the Riders games but this was really disappointing
