Made significant difference to the shopping experience

When I visited the store today one of the air conditioning units in the ceiling at the checkout was blasting out freezing cold air (must have been the only one working because the rest of the store was warm) which was aimed directly at the till. As it was a fairly warm day I was in a tee shirt and by the time I had been served I was very cold. More importantly the cashier at my til was so cold that he was wearing a fleece and his hands were also very cold. I mentioned this to a lady at customer services and she said nothing could be done because the a/c is controlled by head office. As well as being unpleasant for customers waiting to go through checkout I don’t think it’s legal to have employees working in chilled conditions, particularly when they are confined to their chair for long periods of time. This was at Swadlincote.

Visited the cafe in Swadlincote yesterday and it needed a good clean tables grubby wall against table had dried food a drink stains on them used own wipes on table and it was filthy very disappointed with food I had salmon asparagus and spinach over cooked veg to point on mush. Staff friendly but get it clean please.
