IMPORTANT UPDATE RE BANK HOLIDAY My better half now tells me he has early celebration plans for my birthday; eeek! 66 on Tuesday - shocking to think I will be closer to 70 than 60 which seemed bad enough! So I won't be available for visits by appointment on Bank Holiday Monday but Leah will be in the shop bright eyed and bushy tailed 10-5 on Tuesday.

I wasn't planning to open on Bank Holiday Monday but unless my husband whisks me away somewhere lovely I will be at home which is a village not far from Corby. If you don't see us advertising over the next couple of weeks that is the reason why. It's NOT because we don't want your business; we certainly do!
I have been supporting and spreading the word about Corby Old Village, The Highland Gathering and the Old Village Charity Christmas Fair.... All worthy causes!
I have also been promoting my shop (Much Love in Corby Old Village) because like all bricks and mortar shopkeepers around the UK we are somewhat struggling against the 'big boys' and Internet shopping. As an independent shopkeeper I have no 'fat cat' parent company allowing me a marketing budget so social media is our life blood. Facebook like us to be using Facebook in our communities and amongst our friends. But only so much. Thereafter it's only acceptable if you are PAYING to advertise on Facebook. I went in yesterday for some advice on sprucing up my fire place she recommended paint and and I even got a free paint brush plus she came to my house that afternoon to help me wax and finish it off at no extra charge � it look fantastic now I am so happy with the result thankyou x

What a fabulous shop, with a wide choice of furniture, gifts and clothing. Gaye the owner has to be one of the nicest people you could meet along with Leah and Alan. Great Knowledge of paint from Annie Sloan, and the courses they offer are great. Keep up the good work
