Hello again Sue and Keith... Thank you for your steerage this am. The kettle boiler unit would seem to be the cause. Now safely unplugged. We have even found the old kettle. We now have fridges/freezer back which was the most important bit. Sorry to disturb, I have been educated. Thank you for your help.
