saw the team about 10 years a go while visiting my parents in northampton from the usa,dad and i went to see them, and have been following ever since, staff at the ground are great,it was a good experience which ive countered at least 7 times,i try to to follow every match, which is sometimes not possible because of work and the 6 hr time difference but the websites help me keep up.good luck to the cobblers in 2017/8.

User

It was to be our promotion party, we had been to the stadium previously to see our blades play Coventry. We arrived about 3 hours early and were directed to a spacious parking area. Parked up we made our way to the bus stop nr Bella Italia, where we caught a bus into town for a few pints.

We met a lot if friendly people who helped us a lot.

Top football ground top fans and a top town to be a stranger in.

User

Happy to arrive early and parked with no problem

Went to KFC with my daughter and was packed with Salop fans in there

Stadium staff were polite and cheerful and Salop fans turned up in there hundreds 700 be precise

Shame there wasn't a bar for the away support but other wise a good say

User

Great day, entertaining football from the lads, great atmosphere again!!

Get yourself down and support your local side... I'm a season ticket holder and wouldn't swap it for the world win or lose.

Staff are always friendly and polite and willing to help. All in all a great match day experience

User

Good professional football team

First time I've been to see Northampton Town at Sixfields. I'd seen them years ago at the old ground. It was a birthday treat for my 7yr old son and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. We arrived early as there were activities for the children to do before kick off at 3pm. Face painting, Easter egg colouring, signing a banner to wish the team all the best, free fruit and meeting a couple of players for a photo and signing opportunity. All very well organised.

We then went into the ground and were shown our seats. Before the match the children got to go on the pitch and had the chance to have a photo of them all together with Clarence and 15 mins before kick off they all lined up at on the sideline with a flag each and got to wave them as the players came out.

All in all a very well organised event with friendly and helpful staff. A great first time match experience for both my children. Just a shame we drew. THANK YOU & WELL DONE!

User

Brilliant parking and plenty of places to get a drink and a bite to eat within a 5 min walk of the ground easy to get to as well

User

Northampton 2-3 Rochdale.

Arrived at the ground with my 11 year old son at 1330hrs and parked in the South car park without any problem.

Had some friendly banter with the locals on the short walk to the ground.

Outside the ground, the staff were friendly as were the fans.

Had a cheeseburger, chips and a Diet Coke for the pricey sum of £11.50. Burger was fine but the chips were under cooked. Food in the ground was OK although expensive.

Good, unrestricted view of the pitch and enjoyed a good game.

No trouble getting back to the car but it took a while to get to the main road afterwards but nothing that you don't encounter at other grounds.

All in all an enjoyable day!

Up the Dale!

User

My fourth time at Sixfields

Easy parking and lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

Stewards and fans always been friendly.

Nice little ground and a good pitch.

Had some good banter with the home fans as we could have been relegated but thankfully survived!!!

In the stadium the views are all unrestricted.

Food is ok to!

Good day out!

Always liked Northampton town football club but Mark my words JED won't last the season next year!

Bad buys/loans in the summer will see you in trouble!

User

I have been going to the cobblers for a number of years now always have a good time win, lose or draw! , l would recommend anyone to go there to watch a game the Ground has a good atmosphere due to passionate fans and great view of the pitch from any seat in the west stand. Foods a bit expensive but ok, will look forward to the next game I go to see there!!

User

Had a great time yesterday watching the cobblers victory with my kids although a few things spring to mind. A fair number of Coventry city supporters are absolutely vile. The stadium stewards/security are always pleasant and helpful but going on yesterday's events very poorly trained ( how on earth did so many flares get brought in to the stadium? And how on earth did so many idiots get on the pitch?). Why were the police so disorganised and passive?

A great day out with my daughter, she loved the flag waving. Only criticism is the price of the food and drink, a little on the steep side when asked for £2.30 for a bottle of water!

User

My first visit to a match at Sixfield's and my son's first ever football game. I found the staff very friendly and helpful. Quite a good game. We were seated in the family friendly stand just near halfway line, so good view. Surrounding crowd were not too ferocious. The only downside was the 'congestion' in trying to get to the toilets as there were a high volume of junior players (7-10 year olds?) on the pitch and all the parents/grandparents/careers were congregating and blocking the path. People in wheelchairs struggled to get through. I don't think they currently have enough toilet facilities. I imagine that more will be installed in the new stand when its finally finished. The only other gripe relates to how tight it is to get along the aisles when people are seated. I know grounds need to get as many people in as they can but it is just so narrow. I guess theatres are about the same.

User

Last season it was good to watch as the team couldn't put a foot wrong under Cris Wilders management. I haven't felt the desire so far this season to visit the ground on matchday as the results have been very poor. On a brighter note, new management might pull a stroke through yet.

User

Came as an away supporter. All staff were very friendly. My only little complaint was that when we entered the ground and asked for a hotdog at the small kiosk we were told they'd be ready in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later they still weren't ready! Only to find out there was a larger kiosk at the other side that had a larger selection of food that was ready. Why did the staff in the kiosk not tell us this?

User

Good location but the match day stewards let the club down they bully and man handle the away supporters not good the clubshop staff are so kind and they are a credit too your club

User

You bet they die! How can you support greyhound industry, do you have any heart?

Northampton 0-1 Bolton

We arrived at the ground at around 1.30pm and headed to a pub (can't remember the name) about a 5 min walk down the road. Northampton fans seemed really friendly and were a great bunch. We got into the ground in time for kick off and the first half went as expected with us going in 1-0 up after Zac Clough scored yet again. I fancied a coffee at HT as well as something to eat. I got down to the refreshments bar only to be told they had no food but hotdogs. I commented how that was really poor as it was only half time to which I was told they get an allocation of 50 burgers before kick off! That is absolutely shocking!!! An away following of 1200 and they have 50 burgers?! So I had no choice but to have the hotdog which tasted as if it was made last week sometime! Cold and really bland i felt robbed! Second half gets underway and was a 50/50 half until Northampton had a goal ruled out for offside. The Northampton fans rite beside us started shouting abuse. Not that it really bothered us but the elderly ladies it was directed at we're quite upset. This then continued until full time in full view of the steward who was stood rite next to him. At no point did the police get involved! Not even when one of them tried climbing over the netting and into the Bolton fans. First impressions were that of a really friendly club and not a bad stadium to be fair. But the fans changed my entire view by FT. An embarrassment to themselves and to Northampton Town FC.
