A wonderful idea from one of our families today. We had a later time slot for our service at Gedling Crematorium meaning when we came out of the service it was dark, and the family gave the mourners a candle each to light their loved one’s path on their final journey as they were leaving the chapel. What a lovely and personal tribute.

With the permission from the family we have been able to share these photographs from a funeral we have carried out today at Gedling crematorium, the family chose a lovely wicker basket coffin with a choice of family flowers and a brightly coloured coffin spray.

A little over a year ago we did a funeral for a family and the deceased always loved his DIY... however his DIY was the definition of a bodge job! Therefore his family asked if we could reflect this with his coffin... we have now received a picture of his headstone which the family have also added ‘bodge job’ touches to! Such a personal a special touch for this family! Thank you for allowing us to share.
