The 'Inverse Squared Law' for photographers explained in terms related to photography without the maths...

Usually you hear the term 'Colour Grading' in video/film post production in software such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier. It's a way of giving a film a distinctive look by creating a colour pallet for a movie or a location. Ridley Scott's film 'Gladiator' used colour grading to give each country a distinctive look to it's environment. Germania had a bluish colour to it whilst Rome and a lightish yellow colour to it's scenes and Egypt and a sandy orange colour. In some cur...rent science fiction shows for example, blues and greys is a popular colour scheme. Star Trek: Discovery is one example of this colour grading pallet.
You can use this with your photographic images and the great thing about this technique, it can gives your work a distinctive look and also, continuity. So your interior and exterior shoots, have the same look and which isn't jarring (if you wasn't looking for that look?) when viewed together.
