Little Mix are in Concert at the County Ground this Thursday, 19th July. We are expecting the surrounding roads to be much busier than usual with the gates opening at 4.30pm.
We will be taking measures to make sure the car park is manned and parking will be in line with our club terms and conditions displayed in the car park meaning parking will be reserved for members using the gym only.

The instructors are all excellent and care about you & your wellbeing, thanks to Lou, Ang, Katie, Jane, Andy, Adam you are all great and I couldn't be where I am today without you ­¤śś­¤śś­¤śś

It's great I had a great work out then a swim and then went to the steam room and to finish off I relaxed in an amazing hydrotherapy pool.

I've been at this club some 10yrs seen lots of changes, folk staff come & go, class change, equipment change like all business highs & lows we all feel it to ! but for some of us we take it with a SMILE as we love our GYM ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į

I've been a member literally from the very start. The staff are helpful and enthusiastic as well as PT instructors. For me this club is 1 of the best as it's ideal for me and my growing family. Every club has blips and the showers, water, changing rooms seems to be an issue but Nuffield do try their best to rectify. I thank you Nuffield ’┐Į

Great equipent all round. Weights, cardio and functional. Free weights and plate loaded machines are awesome!

Amazing place to join atmosphere is fantastic so much buzz and lots to do! Best thing is it's open really early like 6 am and I love that.!

Mostly it's very good, however the air con really struggles sometimes making it unbearablely warm, plus occasionally smells from the cafe kitchen are very strong in the gym, these issues are detrimental to an otherwise good workout experience.

Its a really nice gym , staff very friendly think the cleaning in the ladies changing rooms could be better , i used the seperate changing cubicle 1 day and there was something smeared over the mirror , went again the next day and it was still there so obviously hadnt been cleaned !!!!

I really enjoy going and all the new equipment is brilliant on the right road for getting addicted...I would recommend to anyone The only issue and the reason I have only given 4 stars and not 5 ...

I have been a member since 2002 and whilst it's very convenient and I have a fixed price ......it's not a gym I would choose now. No coffee shop into the evening and ladies changing rooms very grubby .....not all due to lack of cleaning staff .....could be better if some ladies did try tidying after themselves better ...... generally starting to feel quite run down. It appears to be somewhere just to park their NHS and private physio work ...... very sad really after all these years

Love the classes, gym and creche but had a very bad experience today in the pool. Kids pool was closed AGAIN today, as well as on Monday. Received a text Monday to make me aware but none today so me and my son went this morning and we were disappointed. When I asked why, I was told there wasn't enough staff to man the kids pool as most are students and they have gone home from uni. Awful management, do better!

Great facilities and environment! But as a new member it is sad and shocking the mentality where everyone is dumping the weights allover and never put them back.. if this goes on it is a reason to quit this gym..

Where to start! Since Nuffield have taken it over its been problem after problem. The spa area ran into many problems for a while but it does seem to be OK recently. The cleanliness is worrying at the moment especially the changing rooms. The new machines do seem to be out of use an awful lot which is surprising as they went on and on about spending 900k on new equipment! I used to enjoy the place when it was under the control of Virgin as they seemed to have the right level of staffing to fix any issues very quickly but I just don't think Nuffield are willing to do the same. It used to have the feel of a premium gym but that is long gone. Nothing against the personal trainers and staff there as they do seem to do there best and are very friendly. Nuffield...you can't raise membership prices and have a poorer quality of service!

Have been a member for 2 years up to a year ago all was fine but since things are slipping.

I enrolled and pay for my girlfriend to go and we go early and do a set pattern of equipment,recently have noticed more and more equipment falling to pieces.

2 months ago a piece of equipment my girlfriend uses a lot was broken she left it a month before asking and was told all the equipment was going to be re fitted shortly.

2 months on attended this week and funding it difficult to do anything as 3 pieces of equipment not working.

Complained and informed new equipment MAYBE fitted July so MAYBE it will be 4 months without a piece of equipment no offer of a reduction in the ┬Ż102 I pay a month no vertualy told live with it and it's also frustrating for the staff.

Really seriously thinking that it's time for a change if things don't change

Filthy Filthy Filthy!!!! This is a premium gym at a premium price but the level of cleanliness has been getting worse. The male changing rooms are disgusting, dust balls and hair all over the floor, engrained dirt - looks like its not been mopped in ages. The changing benches are made of pleather and its all peeling off looks tatty. The toilets are grim, and the wash basins are filthy. I canŌĆÖt comment on the showers as I donŌĆÖt want to use them based on the current level of housekeeping! The gyms not much better, brand new equipment which is great but its filthy. IŌĆÖve been in the budget gyms and they are very clean. No excuse!

Was thinking of joining, went down for a test swim yesterday, hated the changing rooms, grubby, very busy and crammed in, I'm not a prude but I do like privacy when I'm changing, only one cubicle. Showers not private either, I could not have a proper shower, seeing all these comments decided not to join, alfreton leisure centre is far superior, despite being council run
