Nutty Dutty Cakes

This was a fruit cake covered in marzipan and fondant. All of the toppers are handmade and edible, apart from a few dowels and board for support. The detailing around the cake was all hand painted and I must say fun to create!

This was a particular favourite cake of mine to make, especially after dressing up as Harley Quinn for a fancy dress party!
This was a carrot cake, filled with orange buttercream and covered in fondant, with a chalkboard effect. The model was completely handmade and edible, apart from a few dowels for support.

It’s been a while since I posted any pictures, so here is one I made last month. It is a fondant and sugarpaste model. This was made as I was away when the cake was needed.
If you would like to bake a cake yourself, are away for a celebration, would like a personalised cake on a budget or for any other reason, I am able to make personalised cake toppers. Depending on the design they can be made on a board so you are able to place it directly on a cake of your choice. 😊

I was chatting to a lovely lady who wanted a sloth cake or topper for her daughter’s birthday. She needed it the following day so we decided a topper was the way to go! This was all handmade and edible, apart from a couple of dowels for support.

It has been a few weeks since my last post, but I have been busy working on a few different cakes. This cake was for our good friends’ wedding last Saturday. It was a lovely day and I was honoured to be asked to be a part of it. Congratulations!
The bottom tier was a chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream. The middle tier was a white chocolate cake with homemade raspberry filling and white chocolate buttercream. The next was a lemon sponge with lemon curd and lemon buttercream. The top tier was a dummy cake to give the flowers some height. All the flowers were handmade out of sugarpaste. It was my first time making flowers of this kind and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I have had a few cakes made by Nutty Dutty Cakes and every one has been amazing. She made a superhero themed one for my son which was chocolate and so delicious and an Alice in Wonderland cake for my daughter which was adored by the whole party. She also made our 3 tier wedding cake complete with handmade models of myself and my husband! The cake was delicious and looked fantastic. It was everything I wanted for my wedding cake. I would definitely recommend this very talented lady.

Had some Australian themed cupcakes made and they were beautifully decorated and enjoyed by all at our party
