Went for dinner today and my God I am one happy chappy. First of all, the pints I've been having in pubs recently were rather lacklustre. But our Stellas arrived at the table fizzy, cold, and delicious. Very happy about this.

The food itself was to die for. My stepdad and I had steak (medium rare) with ribs and prawns. The steak was juicy and delicious, not tough at all. Cooked medium well like I asked, not raw or overdone like I've had at so many other places. The prawns were fresh, and the ribs! I checked to see if they were microwaved (they were not) and they came to the table fresh off the grill. The flavour from each item on the plates was great. The servers were all lovely, couldn't do too much for you! I will be back again soon, and I look forward to it! Thank you for the good meal and atmosphere guys :)

Well I have never been to beefeater, had my anniversary there today and I was quite nervous! Well I can tell you from front of house seating me they where so kind and friendly! Once seated I felt like it was a 1-1 from my server Rebecca, what a server, beefeater you should be so proud, she made sure I always had a drink next to me, checking on me and my partner and really waiting on me (and she had a whole side she was doing it for) hand and foot, making my whole experience better she also had banter with us and a giggle, the food was amazing! And the cookie-dough desert was amazing! I enjoyed the whole experience! And enjoyed it that much I gave my serve a tip and I have never ever gave a serve a tip in my life! From the service to the food, you deserve ur 5*

Visited Sunday 14th May as a impromptu lunch after watching my nephew play football, we were there at 12.20 the place was 75% empty yet were advised as there was 8 of us we should have booked as they didn't know if they could fit us in as there were 2 parties of 6 and one of 11 due in in the next couple of hours! We were then left at the door whilst the manager found two empty tables of four to push together , there were at least 8 tables of 4 free. We ordered service was slow and food disappointing fir a chain such as this one does expect a certain standard which this one failed to meet. A disappointing meal with an unnecessary delay and fuss about finding us a table in an empty restaurant which was still not full when we left.

User

Several items were not available, including any chicken as the manager had condemned it as not suitable to serve to customers - a good thing.

With recent controversy over single use plastic they no longer provide straws with drinks when requested. Surely paper straws are OK, which other restaurants provide.

Otherwise a pleasant time with good food.

Beefeater was okay for a drink went for breakfast on the Sunday thought it was a wee bit expensive but was really good good choice of food especially the English breakfast with as much as you can eat also the continental side was good croissants were amazing pancakes a wee bit dry

User

Four of us went for breakfast on Sunday, that was our first mistake. Absolutely shocking. To say the pancakes were dry was an understatement. The buffet cooked breakfast was constantly running out of food, the staff kept apologising for the wait. The sausages are poor quality and the fried eggs they served were like snot swimming in grease. Hash browns soggy as the black pudding. Not a good experience. Will not be returning any time soon.

Visited last night and it will be the last time i ever go there. My sister has special requirements for foods so she asked if she could get plain spaghetti. The waitress said it wouldnt be a problem. She also asked for garlic bread... having seen it on the menu. Only to be told they didnt make garlic bread. I asked for a dandelion on burdock to whoch the waitress said they didnt do it so i poinelted it out on the menu. Waited a short while for food and then it turns up low and behold my sisters food was not as requested she asked again for it plain but the waitess said they didnt do that. Bearing in mind beforehand she said it wouldnt be a problem. My sister ensed up having fries which were bland. Had we known that they were unable to cater for people with allergies and needs etc we wouldve gone elsewhere. 3 of us felt awful about eating a meal infront of my sister. Luckily shell across the road sell sandwiches. The food waa bland and over cooked. The baked beans had obviously been microwaved about 4 times over. Overall poor experience. Poor food. Lack of service. Overly priced.

Better off going to the marstons down the road. 2 for 1 and the food is amazing along with customer care and consoderate towards allergies etc.

This is the third time we have had a terrible meal. I don't understand why the quality has dropped so much. First time I ordered a medium fillet steak and it turned up cremated and my husband's meal had been sitting on the pass so long his beans had a skin on them. I had lunch 2 weeks ago and ordered a chicken open sandwich. The ciabatta was so hard that when I tried to cut it it shot off my plate however last night was the worst yet. We waited over 50 minutes for our food and we were told they were just plating it up after I questioned our waitress why it was taking so long. When our risotto turned up it was luke warm and had clearly been sitting on the pass for 10 minutes as it had a skin on it then we had to wait a further 5 minutes for the last dish to be delivered to our table. It will be the last time, shocking service and terrible food so never again. Beefeater you should be ashamed your standards have dropped so far and using the excuse that you are busy is not acceptable. Would not recommend to anyone!

User

Sorry but your standards have Dropped..fillet steak..Well done.. not butterflied..not asked if we wanted it butterflied??this Chunk of meat arrived looked like a Rubbick cube..one cut Red as beetroot inside..wife’s same as above a little better cooked still not.well done.Sent back got same Rubbick cube back just cooked more where I cut through it? For £20 steak not impressed at all.can get better at Mc Donald’s for less than a fiver ..You need to massively improve..Waiting for Texas Steak house to reopen in Foxton so we can have a Real Meal.

User

Really not the best quality food at all, my beef was pretty inedible. Fatty, stringy, chewy, yucky. Waitresses friendly and nice looking family restaurant but food tasted prosessed and very low quality. Will not be returning for that reason.
