About Osteria Pulcinella

Osteria Pulcinella

Osteria Pulcinella Description

Osteria Pulcinella has been established since 1994 and over the years has built a reputation for authentic regional Italian cuisine with a great selection of wines.

The restaurant has a rustic feel and we have nurtured a warm & homely atmosphere. The service is friendly, professional and welcoming.

The day starts with breakfast from 9. 30 am, or why not drop by for coffee & wonderful home made cakes, which are baked for us by Natasha. Then from mid-day, lunch is served catering for those wanting a leisurely and relaxing lunch or alternatively we can also provide for those wanting to dine & dash. Dinner from 6pm is a fine affair with unusual dishes from various regions of Italy.

We can also organise your special occasions and celebrations. We have two different areas that can be booked for functions. The back room which can seat up to 40 people & Bruschettaria which can seat up to 37 and has the feel of a private dinning room.

Yesterday my girlfriend and I took a walk down the boutique road of Twickenham called Church Street. It's a quirky street with the shops and restaurants to match. We was taken by the friendly faces who warmly welcomed us into this beautiful italian/spanish restaurant. Our waiter of the evening was called george who was very charming with a great sense of humour and knowledge of the menu. We have recently come back from a romantic trip in Venice and we was taken by the menu as you can tell they have definitely taken the time to bring Italy to Twickenham with there food. George took us on a journey with the food, from; drinks, starter, small main to share, a pallet cleanse of sorbet before heading to the main dishes and of course Tiramisu to finish and digestive drink. The atmosphere and decor was relaxed and classy. We can't say a bad word. We will definitely be back soon!

We popped in here for a quick post-rugby meal and were made to feel so welcome. A superb meal and super-friendly, polite staff. We had no intention of staying for dessert but as the service and quality of food was so good we did. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a restaurant.

Stopped for a quick lunch yesterday and really liked the experience. Lovely salad, friendly service and a great alternative to a chain coffee shop for lunch

Popped in on the off chance to squeeze us in on a Twickers day... They made space for us in a full restaurant, food is great flavour and quality, service was attentive.

Great wines to.

Have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

User

Very good value delicious fegato, good beer. I will be trying other dishes and the wine list very soon I hope

Very slow service and food took nearly an hour to arrive after order taken! Staff were mainly ESOL and some had difficulty taking order and understanding.

Food however, was good when it eventually arrived. Do not go there if you have limited time!

There are many Italian restaurants in Twickenham, this one needs to improve.

I was reluctantly given a reservation for a table for 6 in an area we always sit a week ago. When we got there, the table had already gone to another group who were already enjoying their starters. I was told it was mistakenly given because the names sounded the same, Susi and Sunny. We were eventually allocated a table on the back area with no daylight. We were however compensated with free wine and dessert. Can't knock the food but staff attitude is a big question. Been going here for years but this visit was upsetting as we were celebrating a birthday and mother's day. And the pizza oven was broken.

We came here a few times in the past, and always left happy and full. However, after leaving here on Tuesday we were still hungry plus £53 lighter. Prices were exceptionally high for what we had to eat. Therefore I don't think we will be returning in the near future, shame though as we used to enjoy it here
