We took our daughter to see Santa at the weekend for her birthday with a few close friends. The Santa experience was brilliant and we loved that they got a golden ticket to choose from a huge selection of toys. We followed this up with the festive afternoon tea and it was all delicious. The children loved their own platters and the adults cleared their plates too. The new extension to the restaurant was the perfect location. Thank you.

User

We recently went for breakfast with santa with out 17 month old and 2 month old children. We loved it! I couldn't recommend the food, setting and staff more highly! Santa was brilliant, great with the kids and adults alike and his helpers were brilliant too. My dad came along as a last minute addition and it was no problem, they made sure we were all looked after and well fed and watered. Would definitely recommend and go again

User

I took my son for the babies and tots Santa's grotto today and it was absolutely perfect. We were greeted by a lovely elf who had a cuddle with my son and helped entertain him whilst we waited for Santa. We had a fantastic chat about how she was finding palmers and how I used to work there years ago doing the same job. She provided an amazing service and even managed to get some giggles from my son. We were all led down to a mini winter wonderland filled with Christmas trees and twinkly lights. Mrs Claus and Santa Claus were the friendliest, warmest most homely people you could me and really stayed in character. My son was in awe! We had a small group when we went and Santa took the time to pose for as many photos as we wanted and Mrs Claus even made sure family pictures were done by being an impromptu photographer for everyone. The choice of toys at the end is fantastic and well laid out with the added finishing touch of two of Santa's reindeer for the children to say hello to.

Definitely worth the £10 ticket for my son and I'll definitely be taking him back next year!

User

Held my daughter's baby shower today at Palmers Enderby. Booked for 17, that pre service on all my calls to sort the booking out was great and this continues on the day. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were great and the food just lovely. My daughter had a great afternoon - thank you

User

Excellent. The garden centre was very well stocked and the staff were friendly . We had lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will visit again

User

Excellent establishment we visit regularly we have purchased lots of plants, pots, dining room furniture mirrors, lamps, and needless to say many breakfasts, latte and cake! 😊

User

Amazing! This is our first year coming to see Santa with yourself and we booked the santas house. When we arrived we where greeted by two elves and one walked us down into the elves work shop. We're we then went through to see Santa. The grotto and the decorations are amazing, we had some time on our own with an elf who really took the time to speak and play with my little girl who is 19months old. We went through to santa who looked amazing a little worried as my daughter has cried previously somewhere else. But she loved him santa really made the effort and had the time and patients with my little girl he was singing with her and really talking to her she loved him! Overall our experience was wonderful and has really made my Christmas special. Thankyou so much! Merry Christmas!

User

It's a lovely place to spend an hr or 2, very pleasant staff, lovely display of furniture, ounaments, and jewellery, also a nice cafe, and a big selection of out door plants, was a bit disappointed with the food, definitely do not like tinned mushrooms, and sadly the bacon, was rubbery, hopefully it was a bad day

User

We went on Mothering Sunday for breakfast we got there nice and early ordered our breakfasts and were told it would be about 20 minute wait but it must have been well over 30 minutes before we got our food! It wasn’t that busy but everyone seemed to have a long wait! Then we actually got our food my daughter had a few items missing and they forgot our toast until we reminded them! The quality of the food was very good and once we had everything we enjoyed the food

User

School/work break I decided to treat my teenager and I to a cream tea. Arrived at midday to an almost full car park, an indication that we had come at a rather busy time.

The cafe was absolutely packed out, with folk hovering near others who seemed to be almost finished their meal. We decided it best, that one of us found a seat, and claimed it, before ordering. There were a lot of couples eating, taking up 4 and 6 seated tables, and we unfortunately grabbed the next available 4 seat table.

I ordered our cream tea, amused at the staff member yelling from the kitchen "ive only got 12 plates left...12".

The cream tea was lovely, I would go again, however NOT at this time.

User

Please don’t do another palmers garden centre the same as the other two. They are exactly the same to visit . Please change the items you sell and especially the cafe. Would be nice to visit a different shop altogether .. Otherwise we only need the one .

User

I booked and paid for afternoon tea for Mothering Sunday which I paid £30 for as it was £15 per person I took my three young children two 5year old and 2year old as a treat as they don't eat much at all and I took my mum also as a treat, the waiting staff were lovely but was gutted when they brought our platter of food as for my £30 that I pre paid we got 8 triangle sandwiches, 2 approx 2cm x 2cm Square pieces of quiche, a tiny bowl of not very nice crisps, 2 scones with cream and jam, 2 very small chocolate sponge cakes and 2pieces of dry baguette that had melted cheese on, I feel ripped off and angry as £30 is a lot of money I thought that there would be sufficient amount for my young children to share and have the chance to try different mini cakes but this was not the case I ended up spending extra money that I don't really have on extra sandwiches and cake, I'm absolutely gutted especially because I've always loved palmers and have never had any issues before. I won't be pre booking any special event again there.

User

You can get a main meal carvery at a decent pub for the price of a baguette here and it takes an age to serve it

User

Me and my friend went today for afternoon tea. We love to do this every year so we booked in advance(august) when calling booked for christmas afternoon tea. Collected my tickets and the lady confirmed all booked and ok. Great was really excited. Then we arrived. Gave my name and showed our ticket, 3 times they looked and checked. Not on the booking so they checked with reception, when she came back apparently because we booked so early they didnt book us for christmas one just normal, and as the afternoon teas are prepared in the morning they were not ready for us. She pointed out that the christmas one was £5 more and made it seem like it was our fault. I pointed out that when i booked i didnt ask for the cost i just paid as i wasent bothered.

She carried on and said they will find and get a table ready if we could just walk around for a bit. We just sat at the nearest table that was empty and said we can sit here. Whilst setting the table she said again its because we booked so early. And asked if we knew who we booked with.

Even tho they had our booking and we had paid we were made to feel like it was our fault which put a downer on what is normally a lovely afternoon.

The food itself was lovely. But im afraid we wont be going next year we will book somewhere else.

User

I just don’t get the Cafe here, it has the potential to be great but is so frequently messed up by bad planning and shoddy service. Queued for 35 minutes just to get to tills to order food. We were then told there was a half wait on all hot food. So they waste your time in queues largely because the service is so dreadfully slow and then the kitchen can’t cope? At one point there were 6 staff behind the counter and only one who seemed to be doing anything helpful with customers. There are three tills, but each server gets caught up making drinks and cutting cakes because there is nobody else assigned the task. So often the staff look fed up (and who can blame them) and like they hate you for being there. The carpets and tables are often filthy and you can never find a napkin! There has to be a better way, the same mistakes happen over and over here! Why does the person on the till cashing up an order then have to go and cut cakes and plate them up/ make drinks for same order? If that order is for 4 or more people that can mean one order takes 10-15 minutes to complete; all while and ever growing queue builds up behind! Each one of those customers walks right by the cakes they might want but cannot serve themselves with and no staff are designated to prepare orders, the person in the till does it. MADNESS! The place has more and more tables but fewer means to address customer numbers and the menu is clearly more than the staff can cope with! What the hell are the owners/managers doing???

User

Booked for Breakfast with Santa, for the second year running. Unfortunately we were disappointed this year. The extension where Breakfast with Santa took place is not atmospheric at all, and lacked any sort of festive feel. Last year it was in the main dining room and was decorated authentically , it was cosy, and felt as though you were walking into Santas front room. If it is in the extension again next year, I will not be returning I'm afraid to say. Santa and Mrs Claus are both lovely. And the gift book has been read a number of times. It may be worth changing the book each year.

Booked for Breakfast with Santa, for the second year running. Unfortunately we were disappointed this year. The extension where Breakfast with Santa took place is not atmospheric at all, and lacked any sort of festive feel. Last year it was in the main dining room and was decorated authentically , it was cosy, and felt as though you were walking into Santas front room. If it is in the extension again next year, I will not be returning I'm afraid to say. Santa and Mrs Claus are both lovely. And the gift book has been read a number of times. It may be worth changing the book each year.

Thank you.

Held my daughter's baby shower today at Palmers Enderby. Booked for 17, that pre service on all my calls to sort the booking out was great and this continues on the day. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were great and the food just lovely. My daughter had a great afternoon - thank you

Held my daughter's baby shower today at Palmers Enderby. Booked for 17, that pre service on all my calls to sort the booking out was great and this continues on the day. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were great and the food just lovely. My daughter had a great afternoon - thank you

Please don’t do another palmers garden centre the same as the other two. They are exactly the same to visit . Please change the items you sell and especially the cafe. Would be nice to visit a different shop altogether .. Otherwise we only need the one .

You can get a main meal carvery at a decent pub for the price of a baguette here and it takes an age to serve it

Booked for Breakfast with Santa, for the second year running. Unfortunately we were disappointed this year. The extension where Breakfast with Santa took place is not atmospheric at all, and lacked any sort of festive feel. Last year it was in the main dining room and was decorated authentically , it was cosy, and felt as though you were walking into Santas front room. If it is in the extension again next year, I will not be returning I'm afraid to say. Santa and Mrs Claus are both lovely. And the gift book has been read a number of times. It may be worth changing the book each year.
