... Stunning piece of quality furniture, French made c1870/80 this substantial piece has all the right looks to fit into any interior. Semainier’s were first seen in the early 1700s and were made as lingerie chests with seven tiers for each day of the week. As time went by they got more elaborate in design always having the seven tiers but getting wider and taller in design. Fantastic piece and very rare to find one this piece has all the attributes of a top quality piece, comes with a key but sadly the locks don’t work but I’m sure there is someone out their that can easily rectify this. Some age related marks to be expected we see this used in a smart bedroom but these days pieces like this can be used in a lounge or home office. Quality piece and we see it selling very quickly.

... Tubi Vadan born in Romania in 1943 and now one of the best known and most respected glassblowers of Romania. Besides pure glass objects also makes glass and metal objects, best known for his frosted glass pieces that have been fused with either bronze or copper. Here we have a piece I recently picked up at a recent house call we made where one of the family members happened to be Romanian. Condition is best to be described as worn and well used and some of the fused copper in this case a bit flaky, we are leaving the cleaning process to the new owner so it comes as seen on the photographs. Lovey design of a coiled snake over a green frosted glass which has a stunning look once the light shines through. Great piece and will no doubt sell quickly.
