Bookings are advisable as we have got some tables booked already.

Our weekends are getting booked up quickly for private parties, if you’re looking for a venue for a party, baby shower,birthday or any occasion message the cafe for details of what we offer, prices are competitive, we offer bespoke packages, afternoon tea and themed parties. The hire of the cafe is free of charge with all of our packages and afternoon teas start from just £5.50 per person.

Tomorrow we have the local writer, Rosita Bird signing her books and periodically we will have readings of her children's books for the little poppets in the cafe. Free squash and biscuits for the children. Please give your support to our own local author and call in tomorrow between 11 and 3pm. Thank you

Saturday's Game of Thrones Feast will consist of:- meats, cheese, pates and crusty bread to begin with, followed by Beef slow cooked in ale, Pork cooked in Somerset cider, herb roasted Chicken with rich gravy and deep filled farmers pie served with piles of fresh veg. To finish there is lots of 'Olde English' Puds. Eat until you are full, our limits are almost endless!!! all for only £19.95. Went in to poppins yesterday for my grans birthday. There was 15 of us and we hadn’t booked a table. A table was made up for us and we all got seated. Some of us wanted lemon love cake but they had run out so one was made fresh for us (which was absolutely delicious!) thank you for looking after us poppins especially after we just turned up! Food delicious, cafe brilliant (the children loved the play area) and the owner is fab!

Went for dinner today, couldn't believe the amazing price and quality of the food, and our visit was made even better by a lovely long chat with the ladies - got some serious life advice ! We will be back very soon, thanks ladies !

We love it here, such a lovely friendly local cafe. The ladies are so welcoming and accomodating and nothing is too much trouble. Great child-friendly atmosphere with toys for the kids. Everything is freshly made and very reasonably priced and the afternoon teas are to die for! Highly recommended

Took the tribe here today for a bank holiday treat of afternoon tea and it’s the best one we’ve had the scones where to die for, all kids where more than happy with there’s. I have a fussy vegetarian and nothing was too much trouble for them the staff where so helpful and friendly

The food here is beautiful home made food. I can't fault anything at all. Their home made pate is to die for. And the deserts are delicious. The psychic nights with paul humphries is a must. Just had the most lovely evening with fantastic food and service. The lady owner and staff are lovely and polite. I would highly recommend this cafe.

Pudding club... absolutely fab! Best chips in the world and a lovely cheese salad. The choice of cakes/puddings were fantastic! Cheesecake was devine and so light, the brownies were what they were supposed to be-chocolatey and gooey � pancakes were a nice change and super tasty! Excellent choice of drinks, all included- great value for money and a lovely lady owner!

Poppins catered today for my daughters birthday party oh my god it was absolutely delicious the sandwiches was gorgeous really fresh and soft and the brownies was to die for it was amazing I would highly recommend getting poppins to cater for you I will defo be using them again thank you poppins xx

Popped in for late breakfast with my mum, 2 sisters & niece. Nice & clean, very relaxed atmosphere & friendly staff, made the perfect size child's meal upon request, wasn't rushed at all to eat, I'm not a sausage fan but the food was yummy even the sausage !

Me and my friend visited poppins cafe today for afternoon tea and I can honestly say it's the best afternoon tea I've ever had! Homemade scones,sausage rolls and quiche! Fantastic! Staff were really friendly and it's a great place for families with small children as there is a play area and it's big enough to get the buggy in,will definitely be returning,thank u xx

Me and my friend came in yesterday for the savoury afternoon tea and it was absolutely amazing!! Everything was fresh and delicious and homemade :D we were stuffed by the end of it and very very happy, by far the best afternoon tea I've had, and for such a reasonable price too! Thank you xx

First visit tonight after hearing such good reports about Poppins. My friends and I came for their 1st pudding club it was excellent all homemade food and friendly service great value for money we will definitely be back!

Fab afternoon tea this afternoon with my friends ...service from the ladies was superb and omg the food was delicious and even went home with a homemade birthday cake my friends had organised - would highly recommend and will definitely be returning for more cakeeeee �

Came for the evening with Paul last night, had a great night the food was absolutely fantastic and all the staff are so nice and friendly, I would definitely recommend Poppins cafe for quality and service
